Arthur: *has witnesses, alimonies, proof of Micah betraying the gang*
Micah: cmon dutch we can be good mates
Dutch: I can't believe you've turned, Arthur.
To be honest though, I dont even understand what Micah did. Did he just tell them their location? How the fuck did he even figure it out in the first place? Arthur had to figure out a fake letter in order to find out. And after that, did he just continue giving away their location? While at the same time participating in gang’s assassinations (Like Cornwall)? I really don’t understand what his end goal is.
i think micah actually wanted to destroy the gang by slowly turning dutch over to the bad side, eventually burning down his gang. micah knew of his impact and influence, so he wanted to exploit that for whatever reason. but he knew somebody (likely arthur) would try to put a stop to that, so he had to either kill him or burn the entire gang.
also i believe that he told them their location, how do you think the pinkertons randomly showed up a couple times?either their detective work is really something else or micah (or even miss o'shea) snitched. maybe o'shea and micah could've been working together?
Yeah but what’s the benefit of destroying Dutch’s gang, especially since he’s a great influence there. It’s counter productive. And there is no doubt that someone snitched, but again, I don’t understand the reasoning behind his snitching. He just does it then stays along with the gang and robs shit with them.
You could make the point that he’s playing both sides, but I don’t understand why the Pinkertons would let him do that. Milton said he’ll let the snitches go if they go and live peacefully. I don’t think he would agree with Micah still robbing and killing alongside them. Micah would’ve received some kind of punishment for it.
