Villagers don't pickup items

In which minigame/server does the bug occur: Skyblock

Detailed description of bug: My brown coat villager isn't picking up carrots nor is it farming the carrots already in the farm. I just spawned it with an egg, so the inventory should be empty.

Edit: I believe it is due to mob griefing being turned off. If there is a way to allow villagers to still interact that would be awesome.
