Toxicity Awareness

I like how this thread was said, but let's stay honest with ourselves.
There's no getting rid of toxicity, as much as we would like to rid of it. We've been told this almost our entire life: some people hide behind screens to make others feel like shit because they feel like shit themselves, and that's pretty pathetic. Some people enjoy being toxic, and that's a bit sad as well.
There's no getting rid of toxicity/bad behavior, and that's that.

 

What we can do is lowering the number of toxic players, of course Some people won't listen, But we gotta Try.

 

Toxicity could be very hard to get rid of these days. People nowadays have got nuts. It's also very easy to ruin someone's day with just a word, even just a letter. People think toxicity is thier second job, that's what's wrong with people today. People are also a lot more sensitive than they used to be, a lot more. I totally agree with stopping this. I've always wanted to make this place a lot safer for all the new players. But in this world of bad, it's seemlessly impossible. It was a lot better when everyone was nicer to people. Now, that's not so common really anymore. Especially the people who just come on to do this is really unacceptable in my opinion. Great work on this thread. It deserves an A+ :)

I mean people are here are saying you should grow thicker skin if "L" offends you, but some people here also supported Bill C-16 which apparently misgendering someone is offensive.

I wouldn't be offended by "L", but I'm just saying if you're going to be social justice warriors and preach respect for everyone, I think saying "grow thicker skin" is a bit hypocritical.

You do realize is this serious and this happens all the time. Especially on the server, people can get really rude. If you want to joke around here, I suggest you leave.

 

I don't think anyone over the age of 5 would get genuinely offended over someone calling them a loser in person, let alone a random person in some block game. If they get offended, the problem isn't with the server; the problem is with them.

 

I'd get pretty irritated if someone just called me a loser at random. Not that it would ruin my day but if I didn't know this person, it would be just rude of them in the first place.

 

It might be rude, but I'd probably just brush it off as some kid being a dick, and not let it put me in a bad mood. I'm aware that I can't speak for everyone, but most people I know would likely do the same.

 

What I mean is, If the person spectates you, until you die and put a "L" In the chat.
Are you still like: "Oh thats nothing".
Because it can be annoying.

 

I'd think it's a bit annoying, but nothing past that. Anyone who lets that ruin their day must have some serious self esteem issues.
