A/N: I saw something like this today and knew I had to make a story/Creepypasta on it before it was too late. Consider this a teaser for another Creepypasta I'll be posting...someday.
The subject matter in this story in all honesty isn't that creepy, hence "Light Creepypasta", but it really did make my eyes widen for a moment when I first saw it.
There are videos showing what this story talks about. Wstch those and judge for yourselves whether this Mario is disturbing. ;)
(And no. I have nothing against skinny people and don't find them Creepy. But Mario becoming Waluigi? Unsettling.

    Enjoy~

Super Mario Maker, at the time of writing this, is a game that hasn't been out in North America for very long, so obviously not a lot of information about it has circulated on the Internet yet. However, just a day after this game hit American stores, I was eager and able to get my hands on it.

This game wasn't even a game, really. It was a tool officially released by Nintendo so that people could make and play their own custom levels. Being interested in graphics and level design, I was ready to tear this game open and play it until I no longer knew what sunlight was.

The game was innocent enough and did exactly what it was meant for: creating Mario levels. The only initial problem I had was that not everything was avalible for me to use right away. For instance, I had to wait a full four days before I was allowed to make a castle-styled level.

One day, something strange happened. I decided I'd test run a rather complex level I made -just to see if it was beatable- and came across something that seemed out of place. I hit a mushroom block to make the powerup come out of it, but what I got from it wasn't the regular Mario mushroom. The mushroom was tall and thin, and had a small round base. It looked like this:

I was a bit startled by this at first because I had never seen that type of power up in a Mario game. I concluded that it was an easter egg and picked it up.

To my shock, the powerup had warped Mario into something unsettling. Mario was now tall and thin, with extremely long legs, not unlike another Nintendo character: Waluigi.

What added to this powerup's creepiness were the animations. Mario's running animation looked like he was creeping around, as though to spy on somebody.

I did find one good use for this transformation, and that was that Mario could jump higher at the cost of less traction while landing. That's all it would ever be enjoyed for, I guess.

I finished my own level after a few more tries and didn't get this odd powerup in any more plsythroughs. My encounter with this supposed easter egg wasn't enough to scare me away from Mario Maker, but it certainly was enough to make me stay away from that powerup, unless I needed a little extra jump boost.

Here's what the Mario looked like:
