    there's absolutely no reason to spend as much on this server as you guys do

    no reason to pay for this many servers when parkour, farmking and oitc are what brings in playerbase and money nowadays

    prison is dead
    kitpvp
    creative is dead
    even skyblock is very limit

    no need to pay for all the background servers too (event, build, event2... merge all those into one)

    like seriously instead of paying an ungodly amount for too many OVH servers when you average less than 100 players, kill the servers I mentioned, find a cheaper host and cut your spendings by over a half on top of keeping the same profit margin

    if you guys just don't want to keep the server up anymore then that's all in your respect but like man I don't think that's the way to go about it. be open and public about it if that's the case. think that's the least you could give your small loyal playerbase which is just a glorified friends group at this point

    there's very easy ways to cut spendings and adapt to the playerbase and squeeze a few months out

    if I'm wrong about this please let me know how cuz this baffles me

    Being honest I think J&H are well aware of what they're spending and how much they want to put out on the server
    I know they were cutting back in server costs back when I was Admin so I'm pretty sure it's even less now

    We not stupid, everything is already on only a single server. During our peak we used to have 7..

    At most we could downgrade to a cheaper server with slower cpu, less ram. There are also other costs like domain, email, buycraft, transaction fees, etc.

    But you're right it doesn't cost $420 to run a server this small. It's obviously a bit higher than the actual monthly cost. Not much fun in keeping up a server if it's literally on the verge of not breaking even every month just to keep a few people happy. There needs to be a decent buffer, cause we're not going to pay out of pocket.

    It shouldn't be a problem at all with summer starting soon.. Playerbase will double in the next few weeks as it does every year.

    In the server's history there have only been a few months where the server made less than what we're asking for... and they've all been in 2022.

    forum idk depends on the mood but we could technically get a cheap ass VPS and set new donation goal of like $5
