[Skyblock] Spawn

really hoping this gets accepted, the skyblock spawn needs revamped direly

 

Thank you all for the support and feedback! This is probably our last update. This will most likely be the exact image of the final build :)

Special thanks to member @royalcoa3 for her help on this map!

Here is the updated (and possibly the final) version of our spawn!

WHAT'S NEW

-Removed large tree as it was confirmed that use of other .schematic files (even trees) is not allowed. (Sorry)
-Large tree has been replaced with community chests as well as a new "General Rules" billboard. (Special thanks to @Kryokin)

-Added small water pools and shrubbery around the centerpiece to make it look less plain.



-Expanded hub portal to be much more noticeable. (Idea by @Kryokin)

Awesome work sirius! I was making a remake of the skyblock lobby thread myself when one of the comments linked here! I hope this gets accepted, but as a builder myself I would like to add my own little touch the the terrain, but no worries!

(if you made custom trees around the spawn, instead of the ugly minecraft default ones, that would be sweet)

If I was you, I'd add more details to the stone (maybe mix cobblestone, gravel and stone and fit in a few ores?

After revamping the build, you still do not have a lot of detail in your builds. The main spawn point doesn't really have a "pop" to it, and I think it should, it being the spawn point. I like the concept, accept the terrain looks to World Edited / Voxeled, that could use some roughing out in. Finally, the words, they should have a shadow behind them (black wool). Other than that, the path ways could have a design added to them. That's all from me, and best of luck! :D

 

I don't think they're able to add shadows to those signs since they used stairs. Not sure though I'm not an amazing builder. :P

 

Shadows are easy to add, just stack the wool in a certain way! :D

maybe in the gravel pathways take advantage of the 1.8 stones (granite, andesite etc) and mix them in. it would look great, but amazing nonetheless

 

Sirius, fantastic job. I, myself, have been building a Skyblock spawn on my own free time that I hope to finish within the next month, but I think you beat it. Great work, everything in Skyblock needs to be changed. It's been the same for 3 years...

 

Can this be a thing please the old skyblock spawn is getting old and this is just phenomenal its great and its big which makes me feel like just flying in spawn xD Truly remarkable job I really want this to be the new spawn
