So like, I'm not sure why everyone likes this so much, but I think i'll watch it just to see why its so "amazing." I have some questions tho... Is it seriously in a different language and I have to sit there and read it? And what's wrong with episode 24...?
Yeah, its not dubbed in english. You have to read in subtitles, you get used to it. Btw, just don't watch ep. 24 if you havent seen the others already. It's a pretty weird episode but key to the series.
I.Just.Watched.Episode.24.Yesterday Note to self don't watch it right before you go to bed It was very... unusual
Minecraft: Ultra Ultra Hardcore Where when you die, your computer shoots you with boiling acid. You also think watching gay anime porn is funny... And, on my own note, this game is essentially just some Japanese ripoff of Tron... In Tron: Legacy, a kid gets trapped in a video game and goes through a bunch of battles. If he dies, then he dies in real life. Nobody says anything about that. Someone makes the same plot but with Japanese animated kids: HOLY CRAP THIS IS JESUS HOLY CRAP THIS IS SO AMAZING LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS AND NOTHING ELSE
Probably because it was the most perverted episode out of them all. I mean, seriously. That elf king guy was 100% creep. Also, @Vaicun, I meant someone should make a discussion thread for every episode. You know, like: "Gun Gale Online Discussion - Episode 1" and on. I mean, SAO is probably the biggest thing on the forum right now, and considering Gun Gale Online is coming out sometime this year, it will be a good way to prevent tons of "Did you see X in tonight's episode?" type threads, keeping it to one single one.
I just came up with a theory. Both shows SAO and Puella Magi madoka magica both take place in the same universe in the same city. Mitakhihara. If you haven watched madoka magica, it's a lot like SAO, just more to do with magic and witches. Anyways. If my theory were true, it would explain the oddly low population in such a large-scale city. The school the main characters is large and empty, other parts of the city look uninhabited, the highways are not full of any traffic. (In madoka) in SAO, the population is extremely high meaning thousands of people are potentially there. Enough to repopulate what's missing in mitakihara. The people(in game) there look uncannily like the students in madoka's school. They take death really lightly as would be normal in madoka magica and don't show signs of post traumatic stress disorder. I could even go as far as saying kirito might be madoka magicas 2nd main character, homura's brother. Homura (in madoka) doesn't talk about her family. Her family basically disowned her (she was sickly), and probably kirito too, considering he's stuck in a game. Not forgetting to mention, both shows take place in 2020, the art is the same and animation similar. Idk, I just came up with that...
There actually is an english dub. I found a dvd at a shop I went to, plus I watched SAO in english. If you want the link, I can give you it via PM.
