The first one (pic is not mine though) is now mine, handed down from my mom because she got a new car (the second picture, blurred my mom out).

Both Hyundai but first one is a Santa Fe 2007 I believe?

I've not gotten my license yet because I suck at driving BUT when I can legally drive I'm gonna get my grandma's very old, very ugly, very beige Buick (I'm grateful though). Here is a photo of the same model from google:

So yeah imagine this car but in worse condition. And more grandma-y. It smells like shaving cream inside.

 

You can very easily restore it to its former glory, or at least make it look and smell like it.
Ozone treatment, shampoo washing the seats and floor mats etc.

 

Older worn down cars allow opportunities to learn how to work on a car. That's how I was when I first got my car. That thing broke down almost every 3 months(literally). So it's a good thing to start out with an older car, because you can learn about how a car works, and how to fix a certain part.
