So the research I'm still doing right now, I need to know how big the server got at certain points, so in early years of the server what was the player base like?, What games were most popular?, When did it drop in popularity?, and so on. If anyone has any screen shots of how many players were online during a period of time, which is not present time. Any year is good 2012-2020. If you have any suggestions, please either dm me on discord or reply to this thread.
i started playing in 2013/2014 all i know is i regret my fuckin past and it is locked in a chamber inside my head that i don’t want to access other than that, it was fun
amazing what results google images search can bring Spoiler just line up the server motd with news section and you got dates also: DEAD SERVER LMAO!!
appreciate it, also @ItsJerry I agree on the servers death bed. If anyone else has anymore information on players upon the years and when it was less-popularized. All I'm trying to find out is each year the playerbase peaked.
To be fair, I've been all over the place with J&H starting in 2013, from my multiple bans, to playing creative, survival, factions and other minigames. I don't play much anymore. Although I'm studying certain servers to see where they came from to there lowest points, that's what I'm studying. If anyone has got the exact peak of the player count each year up to 2020, then dm me on discord or reply to this thread.
2016, that was the year where I remember a lot happening, same with the upcoming years back in 2013. I can't remember when player count got high was it when the first kitpvp released, any suggestions on correcting it?
The graph is definitely off. I think 2015 was the server's peak of players at around 2.5k 2018 is when we were around 200ish players avg 2019 was about 140 players on average until the hub update (November or so) 2020 we hit 400 players for the first time in a long time during covid during the month of.. I think march?
When I first got staff back in March of 2015, you would find around 2,500, at one point even 3,000 players online during the weekends and during breaks. Of course, this would be during the American timezone. The Australia-Asia timezone is no joke either though. You could fine up to 1,000 players online on a good day. During that time, Factions season 1 was still up and everyone was playing. Skyblock also still reigned supreme but Survival was starting to lose its edge. Each mini-game actually had its own unique player base and hub was one big conglomerate of people. Like, they can’t fit in tab.
Does anyone have the player count in 2012 and 2013, then I can start the more accurate graph, also if you've got any og screen shots feel free to post them here, I'll add them to something later. I just need accurate player count from 2012, 2013.
@ItsJerry was the peak around 2500 or 3000, round it to a hundred. Or was this the very peak? --- Post merged --- @Ezzerland what was the peak in 2019 when the hub update came? --- Post merged --- results: 2012 = 100, 2013 = 900, 2014 = 2300, 2015 = 2500, 2016 = 1000, 2017 = 500, 2018 = 200, 2019 = 250, 2020 = 400. Tell me if there needs to be any changes made.
the peak was in 2014 not 2015. in 2015 people already started saying the same shit they're still saying to this day "the server is dying and it's the owners' fault" putting 400 playercount for 2020 is also misleading, that was literally only because all the kids were at home for covid, now it's back to being dead again. it has only gone downhill starting from 2015 totally accurate representation here
yes, thank you jerry. also you know in 2017, 2018, there was 4 koths right, in Factions? what was the last one? was there 4 or was there only 3? lmao, if there was 4 what was the 4th one called?
