Either way, bring a pumpkin and a water bucket. Also, enchant your armor/sword to deal with them easily. They have 20 hearts, compared to our 10, and deal 4.5 hearts of damage on hard.

Then again, there's always Peaceful.

 

First, you need a diamond sword.
And then, kill him.

Trust me, this is the best thing to do that I found out. Here's a couple of steps on how to kill an enderman, easily, quick and is also magical too x3

1. Make a minecart on some rail tracks
2. Put some water at the end of the rail tracks
3. Push an enderman WITHOUT looking at it into the minecart
4. Push the minecart
5. The enderman will try to teleport away but is unable to, while dying. It will also start raining purple snowflakes! What a magical way to kill something ^-^

When you do this heaps of times, it might not make you scared of endermen anymore! :D He he, try it out
