Actually, now that I think about it, there really is no reason for it. Staff members keep kicking out the AFK people anyway so it has no point.
If you are going to be AFK on TS I recommend being in your own channel and not the AFK channel unless you like being kicked.

Also, not the mention, the AFK channel takes up a lot of the "empty space" for other people to come online... so once again, no point in having it.

My opinion tho

It's kinda stupid to get kicked because you're afk in the afk channel.
