Will they update?

I want to know if they will update or not because I cant get in and I don't want to downgrade my version! So can someone PLEASE tell me if they will and when?

But honestly, I don't know, and I don't think anyone else knows. It should be when BungeeCord & Spigot updates.

 

It might be compatible with 1.9 soon, but it wont be full 1.9 for awhile now

It has been released since 1.9 came out.

The primary thing to stop the upgrade is probably that a large amount of users don't want it yet. Just be patient.

 

Adding onto this, 1.9 broke many plugins, probably including some of J&H's. So that is another reason why it will be a while

 

Also adding onto this, there's a lot of new mechanics that certain plugins need to get used to (such as the combat system) so it's having to code them into the current plugins and wait for them to update.

 

Several PvP based servers, (BadLion for example), have been working through the coding of 1.9 and their plugins and have found ways to update their servers to 1.9 without all of the garbage new PvP mechanics.

It's very easy to downgrade, and it only takes 2 seconds. Just click Edit Profile on the bottom left hand corner when you enter the updates page when you open Minecraft. You then see where it says Latest Version, click it and select 1.8.9. Easy. Then you can enter game as normal and play. It may take a few months again to update to 1.9, as it took a while for the server to update to 1.8.

 

@ItsHarry I checked and BungeeCord 1.9 is out, why cant you get it yet?

 

Oh god, please.. Don't let them update

 

many many plugins were broken by 1.9... it will take a long long time to get them all updated

 

It's not so much the fact that software is out but rather that updating can take a while and a lot of users at the moment don't want an update
