Scrolling Glitch

I just figured out how the scrolling glitch occurs.
So basically the scrolling glitch happens when you load a page of the forums while rapidly scrolling up and down with your scroll wheel (this is a way to force it to happen). I'm assuming when it happens we are just trying to scroll before the page has even loaded so something happens that makes it so we are unable to scroll.
I'm pretty sure this is how it occurs unless this is only the way it occurs for me, then that would be very weird. This also only happens on this website, which is why I'm assuming it's what's causing it. You can still scroll using your arrow keys and sidebar, and you can use your scroll wheel in the inspect element page which means it's only affecting the scroll wheel on the page.

Fix: Wait for the page to load before scrolling or trying to update XenForo to the latest version.

I've tried this myself and I am able to replicate the glitch every time. It's when you click on a page/forum/thread and begin rapidly scrolling before the next page has even loaded.

Not sure what may be causing this, but thanks for the help Matrix. Hopefully they'll figure it out

Yeah you can move it, I just made it in server discussion hoping more people would see it.

Ok, editing this after doing further research. I tried this on Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer and Firefox. The issue only occurred on Google Chrome. I tried turning off cookies and all extensions, but this affected nothing.

What other websites does it happen on because I've tested it on multiple other websites and it hasn't happened once

 

Ugh this happens to me all the time, so yeah, relatable.

 

New information:
You can fix the bug by going to "chrome://flags/" and disabling Smooth Scrolling

Well, actually, I just tried forcing the glitch to happen over Google Chrome and nothing happened, so I don't really know if it's Google Chrome itself. I've seen bug complaints over the XenForo forums and a XenForo staff member replied that it could be a design glitch.

 

maybe try using a different web browser?

 

I would but I prefer chrome so I just don't scroll when the page is loading
