J&H Forums Android App (Pre-Release)

The Unofficial J&H Forums Android App
Please note: This app is no longer in active development, and use of it is not recommended due to stability issues.
I am working on a better designed XenForo app, but it will not have builtin support for J&H.
This app is a fully native J&H forums client, that will eventually be as fully featured as the forums (hopefully).

This is very much a Alpha/Pre-Release, there will be bugs, and there are heaps of features that don't work, might need to be more polished, or that aren't quite working consistently yet.

So far I have added:
- A login page - this is recommended at this stage as certain parts of the app will crash if you forgo this.
- A forums list.
- Alerts and Inbox indicators (you can not yet view inbox messages or alerts)
- A thread list with sorting options.
- Thread view with replies and likes.

This may seem pretty barebones for a start, but this is a huge project, and more features will slowly appear.

Note: You may have to enable installation from 3rd party sources to install it.

When the app starts type in the login information on the page that appears - it should disappear once the request is completed.

If you find a bug, please private message me it with as much information about it as you can get (what you were doing before the bug / crash etc.)

My Samsung browser often bugged when I'm trying to access this forum, so it's great to finally have this app. Keep up the good work!

 

Looks good! I just downloaded and for a alpha, I do have to say you've done a fantastic job. Keep it up!

Well it looks good, but I use 3 devices for the forums..

Make an iOS version ASAP, would love to try this app, as I am currently using a fake applications for it.
From the screenshots, it looks functional and very sleek. A good design and overall a good idea, and needed.

Update - v0.1.1 Alpha
This update contains quite a few bug fixes relating to offline functionality and opening threads.

iOS actually costs a developer $99 every year they want to publish an app to the app store - and the app store is the only way (unless you yourself are the developer of the application) to get an app onto an iOS device.

So, unless someone wants to foot the bill... I don't see iOS coming any time soon : D
