I actually follow NBA more than football. It goes MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL in terms of my favorite sports/leagues to follow. I do follow NCAAB because I'm in college and NBA lottery is supposed to be interesting this year.
eh, i hope they can lose out so they can get under 2 teams in the east and possibly 2 teams in the west to get a better lottery pick in this deeper draft. if they win out, fine, but i hope it's no in between.
well for a good package of course. gonna have to part with the nets picks for at least 2017-2018 and perhaps jaylen brown. all the people who say to not give up the nets 2017 1st rounder are dumb because just because this draft is the best since 2003, doesn't mean #1-#3 picks are guaranteed stars that will be better than what jimmy butler is right now: a 2 way star.
Agreed. If you have a choice between a proven star or a chance at a star why take the chance? I'd hate to part with Jaylen Brown. I don't think he's a killer guy, but he's a good player and my personal favorite
think about this. Jaylen brown is essentially the same possition as Butler: SF/SG. Butler is your win now starting SG/SF with either Crowder/Bradley going to the bench. If none of them go to the bench, then you can have a nice Starting lineup to protect IT's defensive rating, which is atrocious.
so you can move horford to center, crowder (could be risky due to height but he has the power) to PF, then have Butler, Crowder, Horford, IT, and Bradley. Defense could makeup for Thomas.
Also, you have so much money to spend on the Free Agents for the offseason, so you could add another star (perhaps heyward and a non-star solid bench PF or if Crowder is not working out, then starter.
where crowder will just be backing up jimmy), which may render the money IT will want after the next season useless because he will be around 30 with bad defense. Perhaps the guys you have then won't need IT since he does take so many shots a game.
Then for the 2018-2019 season (after resigning bradley if you have money left) you could have a stellar defensive team with enough scoring, where Jimmy or Bradley runs point. It would be a really good team for Jimmy's last year on contract, and I bet if you guys deliver well in 2017-2018, players will take paycuts to join your team in 2018-2019 so money may not be a problem.
i see, at least ainge has a direction. i mean getting something back from Thomas is better than him walking unless he's a real key piece in something special that year. I think we are seeing the ending of the lebron era.
