Hey guys! I wanna make a Minecraft movie, and I need some things for it: 1. A server (As close to the latest version as can! And, I don't need any plugins, exept for DisguiseCraft. And please a fast one!). 2. A good screen recorder. (Mods that are helping recording will also help) 3. A good video editor. 4. I'm not sure how many players I will need, but collect as more people as you can. But I know that its more than 4 (Without me). In this movie, you won't talk, but if you need you can talk to your friends in Skype or Teamspeak, but I will use the chat. BTW: It will be like a long machinima movie, and it's not like that the characters won't speak. You won't say thing in real life, but after the editing there will be words above the players. Servers, Screen Recorders, Mods, Video Editors, and Server Joining, all must be free, and working for Linux! (If thats the worng place to put this thread, tell me please) Here is what I have from the list right now: 1. StreakyOrange's server. Version 1.7.2/1.7.4. IP: 148.251.3.37:25569 2. Camera Studio 1.6.4 mod and his recorder. 3. None. 4. 1 players: StreakyOrange To join, post a join request in this thread, to make you added to the white list. Just post 'I want to be in the movie. 1) You can easily setup a local, port-forwarded Bukkit Server by simply watching the tutorials on Youtube. You can also add the plugin in it too once everything is set up. 2) There's tons of Screen Recorders like Bandicam, Camtasia, Fraps, XSplit Boradcaster and more! Just choose the one that gives a good quality video, uses less FPS and free (If possible, buy it). For Mods, I suggest you install the Shaders Mod but ONLY if you have a good computer that can withstand the lags. 3) Windows Movie Maker is a good start, just don't use too much editing since it's Overrated! I also suggest Corel VideoStudio Pro if you have enough money. It's a good video editor and it's what ItsJerryAndHarry use or used. (Idk, I remember they answer a question from their Q And A). 4) You can simply ask anyone from the forums to join you on your video by asking them if they wanna join. If they do wanna join, tell them to comment on this thread about their request to join the video. Be sure to PM the server IP to those who wants to join once everything's ready to go! About number 4 that you typed: Thank you. I will use this, but only on profiles, so no one will think I'm thread/post spamming. Or maybe I will also use conversations. 3. Well, my computer is pretty new, but also pretty sucks. Even that its new, its not like I have 250 fps. Its alot faster then my previous computer, that his max fps was on 23. On my computer I have now max 65 fps, which is really really low for a new computer! 4. About servers, I have a server, but I don't know his IP, and I wanna use 1.7 commands, but bukkit servers doesn't have the 1.7 commands, only the regular minecraft server has commands, but in the regular minecraft server I don't know how to add plugins. Im with Streaky. I have Hamachi, and it runs well. And count me into this. If we have all the needed things by Saturday, we should be able to get started.
