Okay so I've enrolled in HTA for my 9th grade year. I've gotten the top score in math for the first quarter of the year. I've been invited, and enrolled in the math competition which I will be competing against other schools in areas of Algebra 2 and up, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus. I've got two months of preparation. We will then compete with ourselves, and our top 10 students in math will be sent to compete for the island of O'ahu. If our team competes for the best of O'ahu, then it's on to compete against the other 7 Hawaiian islands. If we are the top 10 students in all of Hawai'i, then we will be going for nationals.

But getting on topic, I've spent more than half my time preparing and studying for this competition, that I have basically drained myself of all my energy. I am exhausted from studying that I have no time to finish my homework, so I take a small 10 minute break, which escalates into a 60 minute break, and before I know it, I've been playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent for 3 hours. My grades haven't been affected... yet... I am taking every precaution to make sure I do not repeat the 9th grade, but for some reason, there's more.

I need help in getting motivation, or as adults call it, "work ethic." I've compiled so many subjects, electives, including this math competition in my everyday school, that I've often stressed out and wish I could just leave the school and forget about all that is required of me.

Is there any way I can "organize" my life at school? Please reply.

Thank you in advance, Kuzon55, Kaernk's assassin.

Ask your parents and friends about it. The internet isn't too reliable in such important decisions.

no offense but this post is kinda bragging. You DID NOT need to explain how smart you are, could've just said "I need help being motivated in school"

The part where I explained why I got into my math competition is one of the reasons why I have no energy to do schoolwork.

Thank you for your "rebellion" post.
