For the past few days, I was picking out some parts of my future custom pc build. Minecraft is mainly the game that I'll be playing, I'll also be rendering and will be doing video editing. Just wondering if this is a good build for rendering, video editing, and gaming. Processor: AMD Athlon X4 760K Motherboard: MSI A78M-E35 Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 ti 2GB FTW RAM: 8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport Hard Drive: 1TB Western Digital Black Power Supply: Corsair Builder Series CX 430 Watt Case: Corsair SPEC-01 Software/Platform: Windows 8.1 64-bit Software Wi-fi Adapter: ASUS Dual-Band Wireless USB Adapter Case Fan (Upgrade): Case Fan Corsair AF120 (LED Red) Total: $600-$700
That's not what dual band does. Dual band allows you to connect to the modem via 2 bands - the standard 2.4Ghz band, and 5Ghz band. Unless a lot of the people in your household use wifi, dual band really isn't worth it. I have dual band and a lot of people in my house use wifi for streaming, so it was worth getting. EDIT: This build will get you way more frames in MC and will be better for rendering than what you already have http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qLW9vK
