So, I recently got a virus known as MacVx. I had no idea what to do, since it mainly messed up my internet browser, and computer. Why do I want to share this? Well, I recently found out that it not only affects Mac, but all other systems like Windows.

    Symptoms:
    • Pops up ads out of nowhere
    • Takes you to its site or other sites you don't want to go to
    • Computer runs slower than normal
Here's how to remove it. (Google Chrome, doing so will also remove it from other browsers)

Step 1: Go to your settings by clicking the three bars in the upper right hand corner.
Step 2: Click settings, then scroll down all the way and click advanced settings.
Step 3: Scroll all the way down again and find "Reset Settings"
Step 4: Click Reset. If you want to be safe, click reset twice.

I wanted to make this thread so that in case it ever happens to you, you know what to do.

This also works if you have/had the sweetpacks toolbar installed.

The sweetpacks literally messes up your Google chrome preferences. xD
