But if you're already here, you should really just listen to it all.
The only reason this is my favorite musical is this specific soundtrack.
The singers make the songs amazing for me, the movies cannot match it.
It is so rare I have heard any artist come close to matching what I have heard from this soundtrack, it is so perfect (mostly).
This is one of the extremely rare cases where I love every song in a soundtrack, that's my tentative top 5 but I could listen to any.
Sweeney Todd has powerful emotional music, and some very dark comedic lines. My favorite here.
That's my 2nd favorite from Hairspray, 1st being maybe my #1 favorite musical song overall Run and Tell That which is listed somewhere else here
If I had to take a GUESS, this is my favorite from Phantom of the Opera. Phantom was my favorite musical for a long time, so it is very hard for me to pick just one.
My best uncontested favorite Disney musical. Many good songs in the soundtrack it's hard to choose. The only thing I don't like about it is the living statues and their song.
This is one of two times in the Book of Mormon I almost could not stop laughing. Listen to the part with the sister and the phone and you'll understand.
2nd best Disney musical for me, surpassing Lion King and Hercules and the like.
I think Fiddler on the Roof also gets an award for having no bad music, but nothing crazy special.
There's many more musicals I've seen, but not every one deserves a spot here (ex: Bye Bye Birdie, other Disney ones, etc)
