Okay so start off if you play on the KitPvP server you most likely have seen me around. I would like to start of on the subject of hackusators. I feel as if the amount of people that hackusate on that server really do need to learn how to lose. I also think that they have never fought against actual good players they are not used to what they are getting handed to and when they think they are the top dogs and get over run they can not take it. I think there should be some sort of hackusation warning because if you play KitPvP alot and see me on it enough you will easily see someone hackusating me individually. There are too many people hackusating without proof and are not able to prove anything. I have been screenshared multiple times and they think they find something if they see some kind of hacked client they automatically think its a client I use on ijah. There are servers out there that allow cheating which some people don't know about e.g 2B2t. My next topic is screen sharing, I think that some sort of screen sharing rule should be allowed and if a user asks for another user to screen share they should be forced to do it. There is to many hackers on kitpvp that get away it and the whole aspect of getting proof is hard to show but when screen sharing it will always be possible to find some sort of client that they are using a client at that point if they are actually using one. Overall I think the KitPvP community is very toxic and need to learn how to learn because if they are just gonna keep hackusating they are not gonna improve and they are just gonna be there normal self and keep hackusating people that are better than them. Also I do think that staff should imply some kind of feature to allow users to screenshare because people are able to get away with "I don't have skype" or "what is skype". These types of players are obviously using something or they just plain don't know what it is or don't have it. Thank you for your time on reading my post, I am really bad at typing long things and I get that my grammar is not the best so please tell me how I could improve this, thank you. -Fuuk
I don't agree with your suggestion to give staff the power of forcing people to share their screen cause they may be a hacker for the following reasons; This screen sharing will most likely involve them asking players to dig around in their folders which in my opinion is an invasion of privacy; a computer nowadays can contain quite a lot of private info e.g. your account name which will most likely be your full name or first name. You said the community is toxic and "hackusates" players who simply have a higher skill level, these players can also be asked to screen share if enough people keep "hackusating" them which inevitably will lead to frustration and maybe even players leaving the server. Though I do agree that there should be a system that prevents people from "hackusating" other people. My suggestion if people type e.g. the word hacker or cheater in chat, they will get a message saying that they can report people on the forums and ask them not to accuse players of hacking. This system will also do something about the "toxic" community you mentioned.
hackusations (or however it's spelled) is annoying but is allowed. However harassing people is not, so grilling someone over hacks is not okay. Also screen sharing is a big no no here. We never had, and never will. If you think someone is hacking record and report. If someone is being toxic screen shot and report. TL;DR: Reporting people will always be the best way to resolve an issue.
There's a better alternative than reporting people, in my opinion, blocking the word "hacker" and similar. This system will prevent most people from "hackusating," and gives them a better alternative, I went more in-depth about this system in my original post.
My opinion: Hackusations have always been there, they'll sadly never go. Plus, people could say the word 'hacking' or 'hack' without accusing someone of doing that deed. Screen-sharing, tell me if I'm wrong, but I think NES commented on a suggestion thread all about this saying that they'll never implicate that system, so that's a no. Other than that, in my opinion, some people might have personal files/whatever/are scared to do this, and forcing them to do that is kinda....not fair.
If you block the word "hacking" like you're suggesting, how will a player (who may or may not know how to report a player) tell a staff member that a player is hacking. This applies for a player who may (aforementioned) not know how to report, be too young to understand the report system, or have very weak English (again, being too young or from another country). I understand that hackusation is an issue, always have been and always will be. Yes, I understand that certain servers do have a "anti-hackusate" system but I don't find them to be helpful or necessary. I find it quite easy to ignore hackusators. Like Scout said, if the player does begin to harass you, then you can report them and they player will be dealt with. This has been suggested before and has been talked about amongst staff before and screen sharing is seen as a huge invasion of privacy. Simple as that.
I guess that could be a problem, my alternative would be to not block the message but make a system that asks the player to make a report once they say something along the lines of "you're a hacker."
Yeah but with that reasoning you'll either need to make all these signs, messages, etc. in multiple languages, since their English might not be good enough, or you could count on the portion of players that will understand that text message and use it.
my opinion on the kitpvp commiunty: pretty much cancer, full of people who cant pvp who played allot to get diamond armour and think they are good when they kill leathers. Blocking the word "hacking" is stupid, how will a player let staff know if its banned, if they do not have good English skills, or too young If someone is hacking, record and report them, or use the /report feature. My opinion Now screensharing.... I'd rather get banned even if I wasn't hacking than have someone have access to my files, just saying.
Blocking words removes user's access to communicate properly. "My friend was hacking on -another game- lmao" "My favourite site got hacked :(" Screensharing invades personal space. So no thanks. And if people call out hackers, we can go investigate. If they harass you over it, screenshot and report, we WILL deal with it.
