Minecraft Minecraft is back a dating website? (kill me)

Nowadays i litterly have 6 friends that are now dating THROUGH MINECRAFR.
Every single one of them told me : yo i asked a girl out, im like cool congratz , ALL OF THEM said through minecraft.
At that time i just wanted to smash their heads off and delete their minecraft account if possible.
If you are dating someone by minecraft JUST TELL ME WHY in the comments.
Note: these friends aren't 6 year old kids.

 

I'm not a fan of online dating as a whole, but if it's what the person wants to do, I don't want to get in their way. We cannot control what other people desire to do.

What's wrong with people finding they love online? like honestly, a few people get married due to online dating, like honestly if it's a big deal, ignore it quite simple as saying it's shit/dumb won't solve anything, if you don't like it there's a thing called "ignoring" it, as people find their true love in all kind of games, I've seen a lot of them why bash on something that might work out in the end, I don't see the point of it, trust me, if you don't find yourself a love near you find it online, calling it shit now but you never know, games make people meet new people, it's a thing if you don't like it, as I said ignore it like I said I hated it but I changed from it and now I've dated a few people online and I loved it but it's just normal now a days, my end.

 

I think the problem is that I don't think Minecraft is the right site to do it. You can easily disguise yourself as someone that can be older, younger or even the opposite gender.
I'm not against online dating, but I really don't think using Minecraft is the right program to use if you are looking for love.
P.s. I'm also not saying that you can't make friends on it. This is just my opinion. Please don't hurt my opinion or thoughts as I've had enough of that.

 

Nothing is wrong with online dating. It's just the fact that they're doing it through Minecraft. It's actually the dumbest thing to ever do.

It's not always done through Minecraft, you know. People don't just go on Minecraft and say "wanna be my gf"

I used to do it. I'll admit, I dislike it now. If you're talking about young kids who go up to someone and say, "Nice skin, wanna date?" Then you should probably get rid of those friends forever. However, if you mean people who have known the person they're dating for a long time, and have seen what they look like, it's not bad. Those people, usually, are capable of meeting each other IRL someday.

Ah, so you're talking about the people that go in chat "ayy anyone wanna be my bf???" and then they "date" for 3 days and forget each other's existence?

 

when i first started playing (june 2013, literally just got out of 5th grade and going into 6th) i used to be one of those people who could "date" people over minecraft without even hearing their voice or seeing their face, and it was incredibly dumb of me because it's dangerous.

but i think that online dating is okay, as long as you've known the person for a little while, heard their voice, and seen their face.

but, if it's what they want to do, and they like the person, then they should do it, follow their heart. we can't do anything about it, and it's really not hurting anyone.

Me personally, online dating is something that everyone should be cautious about, especially if you have never seen their face or anything.
My advice is, make sure you know the person well, seen their face, heard their voice on camera, and known them for at least a year. That sounds like a lot, but trust me.
I myself, have considered it, but I would never initiate into something like that unless I knew that person like the back of my hand, and I would have to have motivation that the relationship would be long lasting and not just a month or two. I won't set myself up for heartbreak.

In my opinion, just be cautious, it could help you in the long run, trust me.

 

Well if they don't have any other games they play besides MC, we should let them be thinking they are together. No Love is wrong. It mostly ends on its own. You just gotta know the person before making a move on them. If they don't know each other then its just a weird type of dating.
