Just started playing, got a little more than 30 pokemon today. But I'm saying I'm more successful than all of you because I caught a Jigglypuff <3
Data plans are to expensive with Telstra, so I just sit at home catching bloody Pidgeys and Rattatas. Team Valor represent!
ALERT TO EVERYONE PLAYING POKEMON GO: -DO NOT GO OUT TO POKESTOPS DURING THE NIGHT Recently, many criminals have been found robbing people via lurking around Pokestops during the night. Infact, you shouldn't even be playing Pokemon GO after dark, I remember seeing a video(Forgot by who, I was watching via Scarce) where they actually were wondering around near a guy's house, and the guy actually shot at them. Please do not go out during the night for Pokemon. But, if you are(cuz I can't stop you), then be extra fuckin vigilant, and have like, a bike or something to go faster. -DO NOT STREAM POKEMON GO Enter Alex Ramirez, a Youtuber with over 80k Subs. Recently, he revealed how many people have been calling the cops on him when he was streaming Pokemon GO, saying false shit like how he was apparently running people over & whatnot while streaming this game, and giving the cops his location via stream. Basically, on-the-spot swatting. The thing is with Pokemon GO, it isn't like any other game where you can hide your location, so streaming Pokemon GO, right off the zubat, is dangerous because it shows your location instantly to all your viewers. Not only that, but Alex Ramirez actually got FIRED from his job at Uber, because people were emailing his higher ups, falsley claiming that he was playing Pokemon GO while on the job. His area doesn't have lyft or any other service, and now he had to tell his wife that he can't send any money anymore because of some asshole kids that constantly falsley accused him of playing pokemon GO on the job, and running people over while playing pokemon GO. This world is fucked up and we need to remember that. Stay safe out there while you're lookin for that Pikachu, k?
I was actually watching that live stream, I was a bit confused at how he was getting away with live streaming a video game while doing his job. He did mute his microphone while he was transporting passengers, but his position was still live to thousands of people. Poor guy.
There are several techniques to use in approaching this game. This is one that you might be interested in.. - Organise your Pokemon in terms of CP - Transfer all duplicate Pokemon except for the one with the highest CP. For example: In your Pokemon collection, you have several Pidgey. The Pidgey with the highest cp has a cp of 150. Transfer all the other Pidgey with lower CP that you have to Professor Willow (tap on desired Pokemon, scroll down and hit "Transfer"). You earn xp and candy. - [OPTIONAL] Using candy and stardust, continue to power up your Pokemon before you evolve it. - Once you've earned enough candy, you can evolve that Pidgey to a Pidgeotto. EDIT: This is just an organised way of playing the game. You wouldn't want to battle with an evolved Pokemon that has a weaker CP than it's original Pokemon.
Just got Pokemon Go, and I'm probably the only one with the game in all of India. I live in a tech park, which is large, but very safe and secure, there are 5 gyms and 9 pokestops within the tech park, so I can control the entire area within a few days. Also, my uncle's house apparently is a pokemon gym.
That's so lucky! My nearest gym is a church, and you don't know how awkward it's gonna be to play Pokemon near there. It's literally just the church and a field next to it, there's no where that I can play without looking like a weirdo. Dx Spoiler: Got more Pokemon I evolved a Weedle, now it's a Kakuna. I've never even heard of it before, not sure if it's any good. I'll still keep powering it up though. I have caught a lot more since my last hunt, now my main objective is to evolve my Pidgey. Also, I joined Team Valor. :D
Use a VPN and clear your playstore cache. That's what I did. I just got it today. I've caught a few pokemon. I'll have to explore later on and see what I can find. Hopefully there are Shops and Gyms where I live.
So my android phone has died and now I have an iPhone. Is it possible to use the same account across these devices?
I'd say so. Did you use a Google account or Pokemon Trainer Club account when you signed up for Pokemon GO? If you did, just sign in with it on your iPhone and it should immediately transfer your account across and you'll be able to use it on both phones.
Thanks :) It took me a while to figure out which Google account I used for it but eventually got it. If I lost my 10 levels and my Pokemon I'd be soooooo devastated xD
Update ya'll: Caught a dratini yesterday before an AFL match :P Also caught some more Pokemon and now I'm level 8! Check it out:
