Other Games Terraria and Minecraft

Guys! This is not a comparison thread but this is a thread to make you know that Minecraft or Terraria didn't ripoff the other game!
1.

Terraria was in development WAYYYY before Minecraft!

2.

Terraria and Minecraft are very different! Terraria is more adventure-based while Minecraft is more creativity-based.

3.

Terraria has many more items/bosses/biomes than Minecraft which makes the game totally different. Not to mention the 2D and 3D.

4.

Minecraft and Terraria were made by different developers and have so many different things, mechanics, ETC.

5.

If Terraria/ Minecraft was a ripoff, then wouldn't they be much more similar to eachother?



Please don't think I made this to compare, I just simply wanted to state to people that the games aren't ripoffs.

 

Terraria > Minecraft in means of entertainment. I also blame Terraria for getting me into steam, which in turn got me TF2.

Minecraft has got me no where but this community.

 

They are both awesome games. Terraria's singplayer is better than Minecraft's in my opinion. The multiplayer is Minecraft is way better though. Community wise anyway.

 

My opinion is Minecraft > Terraria
Not only that the 3D makes a better combat sistem and the mining and everything is more realistic, with a shader and an texture pack can greatly dominate graphics comparison.
Of corse terraria has an multytude of mobs and bosses and etc, but you will never have that saticsfation of killing an enderdragon and him exploding beatifully with a rain of XP, in terraria. Also in minecraft you can build massive, beatifull and creative things while in terraria... well, the 2D is limited.

Over all, they're both awsome games that i've played and enjoyed doing so, but I prefer minecraft

Agreed. Terraria and Minecraft are quite different.

 

Just because both games have blocks in it, doesn't mean their similar.
I enjoy both games, sometimes I enjoy Minecraft better while other times I enjoy Terraria. But after playing these two games, I realized these aren't very similar at all. The only thing I guess that is similar is building blocks.
I swear, every time I see a game that has cubes in it, there is always that one person that says 'This is like Minecraft.' It's like saying this game that has guns in it is similar to Call of Duty just cause both games have guns while both games have different goals.

I get annoyed when people compare two games that aren't very similar at all. I don't care if people like Terraria more than Minecraft or the other way around but I hate it when people say 'Pvp in Terraria is better than Minecraft' and 'The bosses are better in Terraria.' Both games focus on different goals and aren't supposed to be the exact same game. Terraria is mostly based on adventure and fighting enemies, while Minecraft is mostly about building with no limits and exploring. Also, Minecraft is focused towards younger players while Terraria is for older people since Terraria have scarier enemies than Minecraft and you can also turn of enemies in Minecraft which makes it more child friendly.
So that's my opinion. Please do not create a flame war cause of this comment. I wasn't focusing on creating a fight while typing this. Thanks :)

 

Terraria's motto is "Dig,build,fight." but Terraria has massive amount of weapons and enemies then
I feel motto is not accurate. It's "Fight,busy,die." now!
So what I want to say? I WANT PEACEFUL OR CREATIVE MODE AT TERRARIA.
