    Remember, they are about 2-4 years older than the majority of us. You can gain a LOT of knowledge in that time.

    Just take an 11 year old's general education to say, mine or yours (depending on age).
    They aren't stupid, they just don't have the education/knowledge we do.
    And it is the same for anyone older than me.
    Just how life works.

    Also don't quote me on this, but in Europe I think education is pushed harder, much like the stereotypical Asian dad memes.

    They're both doing one of the highest education in the Netherlands, called VWO or pre-university secondary education. Which is the highest variant in the secondary educational system of the Netherlands. You must be very smart to do the education, so yeah, I hope this answers your question. xD
