I'm so tired. Not of this story. Just because it's late where I am. Things will start coming together soon. I'll start tagging :p

Chapter 7: Underminers​

"Wait. A- Are you talking about Louise?" I asked. "Yes. I guess that's why she sent you here." Hamood said. "Sent me here for what? I just want to read up on this legend someone from the outside told me about." I said. "Okay. Well. I guess it's time I told you the truth of this to-" "Not so fast!" Hamood was interrupted by someone in a red T-shirt and beige shorts. I didn't believe it myself, but it was Louise. "Listen up, Kono," said Louise, "we have big plans for you. I suppose I should tell you what is going on before your mind explodes. So Kono, we aren't just normal happy villagers who wait around all day partying and having a good time. There's something in this town that's going to cause the destruction of everything these villagers have worked really hard for, and we intend to stop it. You see, thousands of years ago, as you know, the dragon destroyed the village and left us humans no way to survive besides erecting a new village. My ancestors are the ones who protected this village while it was being built. What is said in that book you got there is only a small peek of what really happened. I also hear that you met another one of my group's members in addition to Hamood and me." I interrupt her to ask, "Wait, do you mean nala?!" "No that random villager you asked to get here. OF COURSE IT'S NALA!!" Louise screamed, "Anyways, after the village burned down, nala found my ancestors. She's still here today because she's a druid shaman and can live for thousands upon thousands of years. My family worked hard to create a small village for everyone out of the trees and wood nala gave to us, but it wasn't enough for another family that wanted to shift the balance of power. That other family took advantage of nala's kindness and sapped all they could out of her. They built housing for the remaining refugees so that everyone had more space and took the power because everyone favored them instead of what my family gave them. That family stripped my family of everything they had. Was it because of jealousy? I don't know. All in all, the family still rules this town's guards and villagers today. We band together to shift the power to our side." "I feel so sorry for your family, Louise," I said, "but how does all of this involve me?" "I dug through your mail." Louise said. "You dug through my MAIL?!" I said. Louise dodged the question and shifted by saying, "The mayor wants to see you. He wants to see the one person who he hasn't met yet. The leader of the town isn't as stuck-up as his ancestors though, but I cannot forgive him. He tried making amends and that's how I wound up keeping the inn, but I just use it as an income source." "I understand. I'll help, but I have a question. Where'd Hamood go?" I asked. "I'm right here." Hamood answered while morphing with two girls by his side. I recognized one of the girls as nala, and I couldn't recognize the other. "nala!" I say. "Hey Kono, it's nice to see you again. I guess Louise told you, huh?" nala says. "I have one question though, nala. Who's the girl next to Hamood?" I ask. "Oh her? That's Radii." nala says.

Chapter 8: TheWaterQueen​

"Radii?" I said, "Oddly enough that name sounds really familiar, but I've never met her before in my life. I'm pretty sure I'd remember someone who's name is a mathematical term." "You probably have never seen her either. She's like me, but with water." nala said. "So she can control water and watches over the seas?" I ask. "Yup! She's an excellent sparring partner as well." nala said. Radii walked over to nala and me and said, "You must be Kono, right?" Radii asked, "I'm Radii. Louise told me about you, and you're perfect for the plan we've laid out. We're going to kill the ma-" Louise cupped Radii's mouth and interrupted with, "We're not killing him, Radii! We're just trying to get information from the mayor that we can use against him." "Actually, that's a better plan," Radii said, "No wonder you're the tactician of the group. We can use the information we get from the mayor so that we can figure out what he's doing to turn the town against him." "Can I ask something?" I ask, "When exactly am I supposed to meet him and what am I trying to get out of him?" Louise answered, "You're going to see him tomorrow, and you're trying to get anything that can turn the village against him." "Okay, I understand." I said. "And don't worry, Hamood and Radii will accompany you to go see the mayor." Louise said, "The mayor's family has too many records of nala and me, so it'll seem suspicious if either of us went. Hamood and Radii are the only ones that the mayor doesn't have an eye on. He'll just think that they're with you because they'll pretend that you're staying with them at my inn. Once things get heated, Hamood will shadow-leap you out and Radii will hold off the guards. Got it? Actually your oblivious state will be perfect, Kono." "I got it. Just act natural and pretend I'm staying with Hamood and Radii." I said. Louise nodded and said, "Good. We'll meet back here tomorrow morning. I'll remind you when we have to leave, Kono. Feel free to talk to Radii. I know how much you like meeting new people." Remembering I still had the book of "legends," I tell Hamood to burn it in the fireplace. "Hi Radii," I said. "Hey. Are you feeling nervous about this? You don't have to do it if you don't want to." she says. "I'm fine with it. I just never happened to come across you before while I was outside." I said. "I try to keep hidden so that people don't find me. Louise was the first to find me, so I told her I'd do something for her. This is my way of paying her back." Radii said, "I'm able to do a lot of things, actually. nala gave an accurate description of me already: water magic, protector of the sea, good at martial arts and weaponry. I'm also the one who rules the oceans. So I'm pretty much "queen of the lake" but with oceans." "Oy Kono!" Louise said, "Let's get going. You're seeing the mayor at noon tomorrow, so we have to get you ready. Just wear what you usually wear: your blue T-shirt and navy blue shorts. He hates the fancy things, but still rules with an iron fist." Louise and I left for the inn to get a night's rest. Unbeknownst to me, while I was asleep, Louise was on her bed and took out a small red journal the size of mine and started writing.

Chapter 9: MayorOfDenpe​

"KONO!" I heard my name and just fell out of bed headfirst. "It's almost noon! Get dressed and scarf down the breakfast I made for you! Just get out; Radii and Hamood are waiting for you in the lobby." My vision was still blurry from the blow to the head, but I could tell it was Louise. I quickly scarf down the breakfast and get dressed and run to the lobby. Radii, Hamood, and I greeted each other and we immediately ran out the door to the mayor's office. We entered the building and I said to the receptionist, "Um, excuse me? I'm Konohito, and I was told that the mayor wanted to see me about something?" "Oh yes. You're right on time. Enter the door on your left and you'll see him." the receptionist said, "Oh and are those two with you?" "Yes. The letter said I could bring two guests, right?" I said. "Of course. I just wanted to know. You three better go inside. I don't want the mayor to get upset." she said. "I see. We'll head in." I said. Radii, Hamood and I entered the mayor's room where a man in a blue suit was sitting in a chair. He just looked dead, but then he saw us and said, "Get over here! I can't talk to you from there!" We walked over to his desk and he said, "Don't be shy. Just sit." We just did as he told us to and then he held out his hand, "Go on. Shake it. We're all friends here." I shook his hand and fire just erupted out of lanterns on the walls. "Yes! It worked! Great job! The whole time I just had the guards try to create a dark introduction for me. The name's Xeno and as you already know, I'm the mayor of this town. My family's ran this place since it was built. I saw you fall out of the sky and I wanted to meet you!" Xeno said. "Wait, you saw me fall out of the sky unhurt?!" I said. "Ya, I'm surprised you don't have any bruises from the fall," Xeno said, "Well, I just wanted to welcome you to Denpe! I'm pretty sure a lot of the townsfolk associated with you already. I hope you're staying for the carnival that's happening in a few days! It's gonna be the best one yet. We're celebrating the 10,000th anniversary of peace between us humans and the dragon. This is the first year we're going to march to the mountains and give offerings to the dragon. So are you going to come to the festival? There's going to be good food and good times!" I could see Hamood and Radii cringing next to me. "I'll try to come. I'm not sure if I'm able to make it though." I said. "Ahh okay. It's fine; I promise it'll be the best one yet. Well I hope you enjoy your stay at Denpe." Xeno said. "I sure will. I'll see you later Xeno. Thank you for welcoming me." I said. "No problem. Take care. You best be on your way now." Xeno said. Radii, Hamood, and I left the mayor's residence and Radii and Hamood both tapped my shoulder. "We sensed something or someone else in the room with us. We don't know what it is, but we better report back to Louise." Hamood said. We ran back to the inn while night fell to see Louise.

Chapter 10: CaptainOfTheGuard​

As Radii, Hamood, and I ran back to the inn, we noticed the guards seemed on high alert: like something was going to happen that night. The only thing we thought about was running back. We ran into the inn and shut the door to find Louise talking to a guard. He just looked like a normal guard with the helmet and lance, but he looked more decorated than a normal guard. Even his helmet was decorated with a red plume on it. "Yes! I'm fine! Can you please get out now?!" Louise said as she notices our presence. "Well, take care. I told my troops to stand guard. We got word of some attack that's going to happen soon." the strange guard said. The guard bumped me on his way out while noticing something in my pocket and says, "Oh sorry sir. It was rude of me to hit you." I reply, "Oh no don't worry about it. Take care." The guard walked through the door to the outside where I see him mumbling to himself, and I hear Radii ask, "Who was that guy?" "That's Ace. He's the one that watches over the city for the mayor. He's the second in command if something were to happen to the mayor. If political power didn't play a role, he'd be the most powerful person in the town." Louise said. Radii, Hamood, Louise, and I sat in the kitchen of the inn to discuss what happened at the meeting. I filled Louise in on what the mayor was going to do at the festival in a few days and she had a sullen look on her face. "Oh no," Louise said, "Xeno doesn't know what he's doing. If the townsfolk go up there," "it will awaken." Hamood finished. "It'll look like they want to kill it." Radii said. "If the plan Xeno's going with were to succeed, then the town will be destroyed. I don't know what that nitwit's thinking, but it's going to end up a disaster. We're going to see Xeno now." Louise said. We ran out the door but then we were stopped by someone. "You're not going anywhere." the familiar shadow said, "We're taking you folk down right no- Louise?! Wha-?!! You're the attackers of the night?! That crazy fortune teller was right! Stand down or we will take you by force." Instantly guards surrounded us from the corners of night. The shadow revealed himself to be the guard from earlier, Ace. "You've got it all wrong, Ace! We're trying to go to the mayor's to set something right." Louise said. "Doesn't matter. You're running suspiciously at night. We need to take you in. Wait, we'll just escort you to the mayor's. It can't hurt to supervise your meeting with him right?" Ace said. Louise agreed to the conditions given and we headed to the mayor's residence along with members of Denpe guard. The receptionist wasn't there. She was probably at home. We woke up Xeno, and Ace went to talk with Xeno to explain the situation. I saw Xeno looking at Louise the whole time, but she just dodged his sight the entire time. Xeno told us to wait for him in his office, so we went to the office and waited for him. Xeno finally entered after around 15 minutes. He sat in his mayoral chair and said, "It's been a long time Louise. Now, what do you want?"

Chapter 11: TrueColors​

"So what is it? What do you want?" Xeno said. Louise slammed both hands on Xeno's desk and said, "Xeno. You're a fool. We're really going to march up there?" "Of course. And nothing will stop me from creating the best Festival of Peace." the mayor said, "Not even you will stop me, Louise. Unlike all those other times." Louise tried throwing a punch at Xeno but Xeno caught her fist and twisted her arm. He faces Ace, the guard captain, and says, "Don't worry Ace, I got this one." Xeno threw Louise to the ground. Louise catches her breath and says, "You're going to make a huge mistake Xeno. It's going to awaken." "I told you already. Nothing will stop me from doing this. The dragon is nothing more than an urban legend." the mayor said. "You know as well as I do that magic, these dragons, these creatures. They all exist." Louise said while getting up off the floor and putting up her fists. "You're never going to give up are you? I was always the better fighter." Xeno said. "Oh I was just getting started." Louise said. Xeno threw the first punch this time while Louise dodged it. Louise then grabbed Xeno and kneed him in the abdomen several times and got him on the ground. "Told you I was just getting started." Louise said. "Oh don't worry. I am too." Xeno said, "Ace! Rally!" "You were always a cheater at this, Xeno. Luckily I have them." Louise said, "Radii! Suspend!" Troops rushed into the office quickly as Ace ran outside to get more. "Get these ruffians to the dungeon!" Xeno screamed. Radii tried controlling any water. She gave up and just decided to control the water in the air as well as the water inside the troops' bodies to finish them off. "That's very cliché of you Xeno. Taking us to the dungeon." Hamood said while helping Radii and I fend off troops. Louise was able to make Xeno fall asleep through some method. "So what should we do with him?" I asked. "Let's just leave him be. We can't use the inn anymore. I know." Louise said as she turned to Hamood,"Shadow-leap us to nala's cave Hamood. nala should be there. She's still weak so she couldn't help us today. Kono, this is gonna be a bumpy ride. Just stay calm and latch on to Hamood. It's going to get cold and it's gonna get hot when we shadow-leap." Ace jumped into the room with more soldiers and saw the decaying bodies of his comrades. "Stop!" he said. "No, I'm fine." Radii said as we grabbed Hamood and teleported out of the room. I saw Ace running to Xeno's side to help him get up. He didn't seem interested in us for now. The inside of the shadow was cold: much colder than what I experienced before. Then it got warm and hot until I felt something hard and strangely familiar. We were in the nala's cave. The spell worked! nala wasn't there in the same room as us, but she just walked in and screamed when she saw us. "What are you guys doing here?!" nala said. "Umm we almost got killed." I said. "Oh ok just rest and I'll whip up something to eat." nala said. We just dozed off sleeping, but I could hear voices in the background that wasn't nala's. I could tell they were friendly though. I just didn't want to investigate.

Chapter 12: FireApprentice​

Being in nala's cave is the worst. The decor and everything is nice. It's just that I dreamt the same dream from last time. Even worse? I accidentally punched a sleeping Hamood in the gut while I was waking up. He punched my cheek in his sleep. It felt like a ton of pressure was in that punch. I guess it was a reflex that he built after countless battles. We were all there sleeping on the floor: Louise, Radii, Hamood, and nala was there too. I remembered something right there from last night. There was someone missing and I didn't know his name. He was talking to nala last night, but I don't know what they were talking about. I got bored really easily so I just started writing, and writing, and writing, until Louise woke up. "A- are you serious, Kono? I knew you had something, but this? I didn't know you had one." Louise said. She wakes everyone in the room we were in and tells me about the journals. "We don't know what they are. They just said what our occupations were and that's it. It told us our destinies and what to do. Sort of like a script I guess." Louise said. At that moment, Louise, Hamood, nala, and Radii took out their own journals. Louise's was red, Hamood's was black, nala's was purple, and Radii's was magenta. They all turned to a page in it that said "Destiny Page" and showed it to me. I was just in awe that these tiny books are what convinced them of their lives. "So these journals told you what to do?" I asked. "Yep." Louise said. "Okay. I still don't understand why you'd let a book tell you what you are." I said. "Well, we compared each others stories of waking up in our respective areas and we were scared. We didn't know what to do besides look in the journals. Our fate was already written for us. People called us by our names, but we had no recollection of what happened the day prior. I have a question actually. If you're one of us, what did it say in your journal?" Louise asked. "Huh? My journal was completely blank." I said. "That's really strange. We all had destinies in our journals." Louise said. "Well I don't really know. I wrote in mine since getting here. I've been fiddling with it when I was checking into your inn." I said. We all stared at each other for a bit before I asked nala, "Umm. nala? Who's that guy you were talking to last night?" "Oh him? He's just a friend, I swear." nala said. Louise gave nala the "stare" until she finally broke: "Okay okay. He's like me and Radii, but he's a bit inexperienced." nala said. "Why didn't you tell me about him, nala? Is he a journal-holder?" Louise said. "Umm, yes." nala whimpered. Louise screamed while looking like she wanted to punch nala, but punched a wall instead. "Can you contact him?" Louise said. "Yes. Of course. He lives with me. He was banished from the town by Xeno a long time ago." nala said. Louise tried slapping nala but caught her hand as it was almost to nala's face. "Get him." Louise said. "Okay okay. Kazuke! Where are you?!" nala screamed.
