MC Dating?

This is a very controversial topic, and can mean many things.

-Just pretend dating in the game
-Actually meeting people through the game
-just plain dating

Honestly, I think that it's ok if they're meeting through MC, and are -atleast- 13 years old. But even then, they should still be dedicated to the person they're dating

 

Yeah, but only if:

- You actually know the person
- You saw the person (before you start dating)
- You use skype aswell

Basically.

 

There is two different kinds of dating.

EX 1: Say 123 if you wanna be my girlfriend/boyfriend?
I do not support this kind of dating, but if it makes you happy, go along brutha.

EX 2: Meeting the person.
Adding them on skype.
Getting to know them.
Crushes.
Dating.
This kind of dating is totally fine. You don't need to see somebodies face before falling in love with their personality. .3.

 

I agree pretty much with this, however in my opinion Minecraft isn't really the best place for dating. I'd recommend people going to an actual dating website, if they're serious.

 

I just recommend getting of the freaking computer and meeting someone in real life. Much better

 

Just wondering to those of you who do date on Minecraft. Whats the difference of dating the person and just being friends with them? I mean its fine by me, but you can't go on dates or anything that a real relationship would hold.

I could say a bit I guess. As others have said above, there's basically 2 ways, the cheap and a silly way by publicly asking people to talk to you and date you, even without getting to know them. Or there's the, meeting, getting to know, friendship, crush, date, then hopefully meet. I personally think that dating online can still be the same as in the real world. If you think of it, the person you date is real too, they're a real person, you're a real person, you just happen to be talking via the Internet. Then upon meeting for the first time, it becomes a reality, you are still the same people, you met over the Internet and have now seen face to face.
Just my thoughts as it's happened to me. If it makes people happy, go for it, you never know what'll come out from it.

And I'm not saying that as a joke. Now of course they probably aren't really creeps like this guy but people can act and be a lot different on the internet then they are in real life. But again im not opposed to it.

 

Oh yes of course you'd need to ensure of who they are beforehand, for example it would be a bit weird if you were to meet after like a year of never being in a video call with them. But then again anyone would obviously want to see what the person looks like, same as any other form of relationship, even friends want to see eachother after a period of time.

Okay, okay. Originally, I was 100% against the idea of online dating. I thought it was just damn stupid, and I swore I would never do it.
Tch, look at me now, dating someone online from this very community. And, need I say, it's rather enjoyable. I mean, you guys bring up some fair points.
Such as:

Seriously, internet = pedos. Well, not all the time.

However, some people who have met online, can actually end up happy. Let's take Xenon and Kate for example (I hope you two don't mind me using you). They started out as online boyfriend and girlfriend to my knowledge, and now, they were able to meet each other once (From what I heard). It's not exactly always the "You guys will never last," type thing when it comes to online dating. The chances of staying together are slim, but I'd say a fair 5-10% would be happy after online dating and meeting with the person in reality.

Look at Kitty and I for example. At first, (Long story), it was rather interesting how we met. She showed fangirl-like actions towards me a while back, and I just went along with it, hiding my emotions for her, as I actually liked her fan-girling over me for some reason (Despite my hatred towards attention). Afterwards, we added each other on Skype. We talked to each other for lord knows how long every day, and we got to know each other for a while, even to the point where we got personal. We played with each other on MC, Nintendo games, and so forth. After that, I developed a serious crush on her, and I asked her VIA Conversation on this very forums. We started dating from there and still are, and hopefully will never stop. Plus, we showed each other what we looked like in reality, so we know that neither of us are this guy right here:

We've had our ways of voice communication, and we have had that one video conversation on Skype. X3 (And we still have to figure out how to meet up in reality some day)

My main point is: I'm okay with online dating, as long as it's not like:
"Say 123 if you want a boyfriend/girlfriend!" Because that <- That right there is not true love. That's just horny or something.

Erm, yeah.

Online dating is okay as long as you 100% for sure, know who you are dating. <- That is just my opinion. No hate.

 

Online dating is a bitch. Doing it the natural way, it's better. Sometimes, it can turn out painful and not happy. The end of what I'm going to say.

I just read the title and thought "No."

 

For me, Minecraft is a game to play with a lot of friends. It's apart from my 'love-life'. I'm not playing it to find a girlfriend, but whenever I do meet someone, I'm open for it.

But, I rather just date a girl I know in real life.

About online dating in general: I think it's okay. Sometimes, like @magicalsparklez said, it can be a bitch, but my experience with dating sites, not me on a dating site, but people I know, is that it can also work out pretty well. So it depends on the people you meet.
