I don't understand why half the people I see bashing his grammar on this thread are people who have publicly opposed "Grammar Nazi-ing" in the past...

Am I missing something here...or is there way too much hypocrisy in this thread?


EDIT: As for the issue at hand; everyone who says it's annoying needs to back the fuck off.

You don't find it annoying, because if you truly did, you wouldn't be on the internet. People use these shortcuts all the time on the internet, in texting, and in much more. Not when you try to be professional, but they use it to be themselves. Furthermore, if this truly annoyed you people as much as you attempt to let on, then you wouldn't sarcastically type in an attempt to mock others. Half of you bashing him for it are people who claim to be mature. If you were mature, you wouldn't mock people, you'd reply to them in a civilized and up fourth manner.

This is why Joey pissed me off, this is why Wiki pissed me off, and this is why y'all are pissing me off. Oh, and not only that, but you people used to do this. I've seen it in your posts. Then suddenly, when someone else starts doing it, you try to "act mature" and stop them, when they are doing what you used to do: act like themselves. Only now, the tides have turned, and you've turned into one of the killjoys you used to detest when you did this.


And the moral of the story: Don't get at someone for acting the way you full well knew you acted like at one point.

 

Grammar is life. There's nothing else to it. Pretty simple stuff if you ask me.

 

We've publicly opposed unreasonable grammar nazi-ing on posts that we don't have a hard time reading anyways (Eg, I hate you anyways who wants ice cream? YOU FORGOT A COMMA!) We're bashing his near illegible lazy and annoying text speech.

 

Read the rest of the edit, I believe it will be seen as very relevant.

 

Guys, whenever he was saying dere, bcuz, k, and all of that kind of stuff, his grammer was correct. It appears that you have all mistaken spelling for grammar again. Seem familiar? *cough* Staff Apps *cough*

 

Just an FYI, grammar includes spelling.

 

Using an iPad does not excuse you from using proper grammar.
If you are so worried about autocorrect, turn it off.
If you cannot type properly, use either: computer, or a keyboard extension for your iPad, which exist because my dad has one.

Oh, and don't retaliate with 'I bet you don't use your iPad for foruming'

Seeing from everyone beautiful suggestions, today me and fellow friends came to an Summit about my grammar, and we've all decided to use proper grammar once and for all!

just to clarfy I did mean to say beatiful suggestions because I didn't take anyone's suggestion harsh, it was nice for ya'll to share the spirit of good grammar :D
