Hello, as you may have noticed, the forum has been spammed a couple times with spambots I think. This is the link to one of them: http://itsjerryandharry.com/threads/i-was-forty-years-of-age-likely-not.21082/ If you ask me, an admin should take care of this issue. Keithmellen was the one who posted the above link, while I do not know about the other one.
Well the thread has been deleted so someone has probably already taken care of the situation. If you see one of those threads, you should report it in the report button below their post and a higher staff member will delete it for spam.
There are spambots everyday, we don't notice them but the staffs do and remove them. I was talking about it with Misfit and she showed me a screenshots of the spambots thread removed. It's really amazing. EDIT: Cobra, I reported the thread xD
Yeah, if it is only keith doing this, he should be IP banned, since he can always make a new account.
Well, I have only seen keith's spam so.. Again, the admins do a good job I have not even noticed them :P
Mhm. The only effective one now, is where you have to select those images, like 'Which one is the boat' I'm pretty sure that spambots can't get through that... yet.
What my forum does is: They have two captcha's (the text and the one with the images) and then you have to conform your email and enter the code into the forum. Then your first post is determined by the staff... making sure you're not a bot.
A spambot is a program designed to 'spam' forums with advertisements, etc. A CATCHA is one of those images that you have to enter the number or word from. It is designed to keep spambots out, but obviously, our one is not very effective
