However, very disappointed in this whole 'discussion.'

Showing staged pictures to clown Kamala. So what. Every politician including Trump does that. Everything they do is a media show. They are a damn puppet.

Clowning on corporate media, yet not providing or giving weird sources.

Using the your work and travel as evidence you are well versed in world views and what people want. However, the way you have treated people's views in this thread makes me believe you would not care or consider any other views.

The way you have been acting in this thread is just so off putting no matter who you vote for. I do not care if you're trolling (which you obviously are).

I am not going to discuss or convince you of any political views because I do not need you to understand what I believe. It is okay to be different.

But I will address the thing you said that is about a certifiable fact:
Trump lost the 2020 election just like Hillary lost 2016. The fact that a section of this country believes otherwise is insane. Sound like flat earthers or the moon landing was fake people. Every facet of government has confirmed it, unbiased news sources have confirmed it, everyone and their mother. Yet for some reason, a small amount of people think he did win. Mainstream media is against trump because the majority in this country do not like him. The majority of the people voted against him. He lost the popular vote in 2016. People do not like him, especially because of his manner and rhetoric.

You are allowed to like him. However, to say he did not lose in 2020 is wild.

It is not a genocide. The situation is not black and white.

 

What a weird definition in a vacuum. Killing members of the group? Yes, Israel is fighting a war against Hamas that uses its own people as human shields.

Hamas is a terrorist organization that is leading to the Palestinian people's destruction.

In the end of the day, the sole purpose of an election method is to provide a definitive winner, so it should be a black and white issue. Distrust in your democratic system does add nuance but I don't think it's the kind of nuance you would want to have. That kind of stuff can end in empires falling down.

What happened here though is ignorance of important nuance, which makes it look like the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a simple one with a clear "good and bad". I think most people who do even a little bit of research come to the conclusion that this isn't the case here..

Fortunately for you, America has the twenty second amendment so you get to keep playing the same game with different candidates, even if you lost one time (something I wish we had so don't take it for granted lol).

 

This conflict has been going on since the 1940s, whilst Hamas was established in the 1980s. I grew up in the aftermath of the troubles in Northern Ireland, whilst I agree with the prospect of Ireland being reunified, I do not agree with the actions of the IRA, though I can understand why they were established and their actions, one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter as they say.

The other common argument is that Israel has a right to claim the land historically. Okay, got it - if the Italian descendants of the Roman Empire showed up on British soil tomorrow and claimed the nation as their own, would that mean it’s correct? No.

Israel has been responsible for multiple war crimes, such as the bombing of schools, hospitals, refugee camps and the like. Please also note their current aggressions on Irish peacekeeping soldiers from the UN, I also would refuse to support such a nation who refers to innocent civilians as “vermin” and wants them exterminated, whilst also posing such a negative view on my own country for standing their ground and imposing sanctions on them for their actions.

Disappointed to see such a view come out in this thread personally.


anyways regardless of this as it’s not really relevant to the thread, got a week or so to go until this election happens. Last time out by this point it seemed pretty clear cut that Biden was going to win the election, but this time round it seems very up in the air as to who’s going to take it. Interested to see where it goes.

3. from what I’ve seen the betting markets in place haven’t been American based companies, so I’m taking them with a pinch of salt. Also a side note that I’ve never met a bookie who’s poor :)

 

Don't be naive. You know very well that this would all stop if Hamas and their friends at the Palestinian Islamic Jihad gave back the 101 Israeli (and American) hostages who were brutally kidnapped on October 7th.

I don't like Netanyahu at all and there's nothing I want more than peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians, but you twisted the situation so much it's absurd.

 

Just woken up to read the news and it seems like Trump has won it. Disappointed and I think this is going to be a dark day for any American that isn’t a straight white man. Just quite shocked that Kamala has barely put up a fight.
