Well, goodbye everyone. (when the time comes)

This is probably not my final post but, more just a post I wanted to have out there in case I miss the final days.

Seeing how the donation goals are less likely to be matched now than before, I think it's time for me to say my final words and bid you guys farewell before it all crashed downs and burns.

I joined this place 9 years ago, and will stick around till the end.
I joined this place as a 17 year old trying to avoid his shitty home and school situations, just like many others I locked myself in my room and played games to kill the time. The shitty thing about locking myself in my room is, I am a very creative person and not having an outlet for that gives me literal headaches and zoomies.

I was very happy I was able to join ''the jh crew'' and let out my creativity in the videos and the server, and at the same time use it as an escape for everything that was going on in my life at the time.
I hope it showed too!!! I know most of my stuff was, pretty bad but I was just doing my thing and enjoying myself alongside with coping and escaping. I have no natural talents for what I like to do, so I have to force it all out and I am glad I got the chance to do so in front of millions of people.

I don't know how many people have seen me, heard me or have been on the server. But I felt the impact of it greatly, people online pshhhhhh I don't know how to describe them but I felt that a lot of them were nice and cool. And I had the privilege's of being ''super cool'' because I was in the videos and I felt a lot of kindness from everyone over the years. Even to this day. I remember very clearly how years after I was playing a game of Overwatch and someone just goes ''Holyshit, are you Saul1337 from ItsJerryAndHarry? Dudeee no wayyy!!!''
Just a random dude, years later still thinking it's cool to play with me online. It's epic.

Of course now, I do nothing online anymore. Eventually Jerry and Harry did their JerryVsHarry thing and me and the others who appeared in the videos faded away. At first I was pretty sour about it, ngl but I think it's best it went that way. For their careers and for my sanity too. I tried having an online career myself, but it never worked and will never work but I'm completely fine with that. I have seen the negative impact it can have and how it's mostly all faked and very complicated shit so it's all good.

I have had great experiences here, and some great shitty ones. But I think it's very normal to have both kek.
It's weird to think now but, I had my first ''((serious))'' relationship because of this server, I had another relationship that also sort of came because of this server. I had the pleasure of meeting a lot of cool people, and a bunch of youtube-famous people. I had the pleasure of going on a full paid business trip where I got a mad case of the main character syndromes. I had the pleasure of having a creative outlet and being able to show what I made too millions of people without having to grow as a creator myself.
I had a lot of laughs, and very memorable moments in this place and just overall.. looking back on it it was good.

I'm old now, I've changed a lot the past 7 months and I have been visiting this place less and less.
I'm doing much better in a slow and steady and stable upwards line. I hope you are too, well I don't hope you're old like I am because getting older isn't fun. But having your life going good is good.
If I may give some advice on living in general, it's make sure you work on your mental and physical health, surround yourself with nice people and a good environment. I had done the opposite and all it gave me was mental illness, physical pains and a well filled criminal record that is not helping me at all.
I'm breaking the barrier of leaving that behind and moving on so that I can hopefully put a little person on this place one day and make them the best I can.

I know now I've lost all status I had around here, and I look like some guy who is just telling everyone about the past and how great it was without anyone know how great it was because ''who is this guy even''.
Either way I was really super cool here and my uncle worked for Nintendo and for ItsJerryAndHarry and I got to talk to Jerry and Harry from ItsJerryAndHarry :)

I know a lot of people aren't around anymore, and that I am just an old guy and player sticking around wreaking havoc because times have changed and I am not able to adapt well.
But I just wanted to say to all of you,

We've reached the end of the line, and it would mean a lot to me if all of you know how much I have enjoyed my time here. As a Youtuber, and as a regular person enjoying the server and community that it has created.

 

Being here since the start, can resonate with that first portion. A lot of that is relatable to me too, good and bad.
You and I have had some fun moments too, playing the minigames, featuring in JH's Walls video (still somehow remember that), etc.
The memories will live on, I guess. Stay strong, and good luck for the future.

Same old, though. Gaming, making music (although quite slow lately), trucking, streaming. Sounds generic and a bit dull but evidently it provides value to some. I'm happy with that. Hope you're well too.

this makes me so sad aw. this server was my escape aswell and it taught me so many social manners because i let myself loose on this server but was really never the talkative one in person. i met some great people here aswell (‘: ill never forget the moment i had a legitament conversation with THE Saul on that stupid little zombie server we all used to play on.

this is facts. years ago I was able to express myself more on here than I had the confidence to in person. despite that changing, i will always have a soft spot for this community as i've very practically grown up here.

thank you all for the memories & sense of kinship when it was hard to find elsewhere.

 

Same for me. September 13, 2013. Build It was the first game I played :) Glad things ended on a collective good term for most people vanishing from the server.

 

Liked this server a lot, good bit of my squeaker years were spent here and to say that it did teach me a good bit about how people are in general especially when you realise that I was... fourteen (?) when I first joined this community, five years ago, would be a crazy understatement. Appalling to think how much has changed since that day I messaged a certain XenonHD Krewlex about my first staff application, only to have it denied for that exact reason.

There's a lot of shit I can resonate with in this thread, having stopped ((properly)) playing a very long while ago. Thanks to all for making it fun, like most people I'll visit from time to time until I randomly stop one day. It's both sad and oddly surreal seeing this place slowly get deserted but oh well, I suppose it had to fade out somehow sometime.

 

I can relate to feeling like a creative person locking themselves up. I'm taking a Business Administration Program rn but I've always wanted to take on a more creative career. I've always wanted to learn something like animation but even looking at SFM makes me get cold feet. Though I'm not happy about some of the bad shit that's gone down on here (and the horror stories I've heard in some cases...) I'll still forever cherish the good memories.

Thank you by the way for taking the chance to be my friend, even though I was a dumbass teenager who wanted to talk to her idols.
