Hi, wondering if anyone else here has a race bike and experience with these type of bikes and riding. I bought this one yesterday and had two 20km (12 miles???) rides to and from work today and it's nice. If you got experience with this and got some advice I'd love to hear it. This type of bike is completely new to me, so I can use the advice. I need to try out the race shoes some time, I got the right pedals but not the shoes that work with them kek. But with my regular shoes it works fine for now.
Not yet kek, it's quicker than a regular bike but I still need to get used to it in order to go zoom faster :) Should go out and get one, like this one I'd suggest getting a second hand one just incase you don't like it or it ends up catching dust in the garage. Don't recommend this one though, this one is for racing you've got hybrid frames that are a more relaxed riding style and offer more enjoyment of the bike paths. Or go crazy and try to get a Dutch bike and enjoy those, they're made for comfort and easy going cruising.
Actually, it just hurts your ass. It's not too bad, but you do really need to find that perfect position. Currently experiencing painful skin on the right side of my balls because it's rubbing there, which means my saddle or something else is off by a tiny bit causing that. Sadly had to invest (CHEAPLY BECAUSE ALIEXPRESS KEK) in some gear though, loose pants are a pain point as well.
You doing anything in particular with the bike? just riding for fun or like doing it as like an actual sport or something?
Using it for sports, I like running more but I struggle a lot with it during the summer because of the heat. So in the summer I'm going to use it to ride to my work as a replacement for running, and then when the weather isn't as hot anymore I'll go back to running.
