No worries, As for movies, however (if you have seen these please forgive me since I don't know what you've watched). Movies: - 君の名は / Your Name - Studio Ghibli which includes My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, etc - 映画聲の形 / A Silent Voice Again I haven't watched many movies because I dislike watching them for some reason, but I heard all of these ones were good. For shows, however, I'll put in different genres just so it's clear to you, also just to mention, I love dark anime so just prepare for some triggers here and there (if you have any at least but I'll warn you). Shows: Action / Fantasy: - 文豪ストレイドッグス / Bungou Stray Dogs / 3 seasons (12 episodes each), movie + spin off (文豪ストレイドッグスわん！/ Bungou Stray Dogs Wan!) Sypnosis: An 18-year-old boy called Atsushi Nakajima (中島敦) has been kicked out of his orphanage after mysterious incidents of a weretiger has been causing trouble that only he's aware of, he's left hungry, homeless and wandering through the city. Whilst starving on a riverbank, he saves a man from drowning who is called Dazai Osamu (修太宰府). Dazai has been investigating the same tiger that has been terrorizing the boy. He and his partner Kunikida Doppo (独歩国木田) go investigate the boy but it leaves Atsushi in a bad position. Various odd events happen which makes him join them, the Armed Detective Agency which takes on investigations that even the cops can't handle. This could also be considered a comedy too, as they take on dark elements as more comedy, especially towards Dazai's behaviour. Though, there are a few trigger warnings to this which include: Abuse, Mentions of Suicide and overall just dark themes. - 魔法少女まどか★マギカ / Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica / 1 season + movie) / 12 episodes Sypnosis: Madoka Kaname (要まどか) and Sayaka Miki (美樹さやか) are middle school girls with regular lives, but it changes when they encounter a white cat named Kyuubey, and Akemi Homura (焔明美) who is the new transfer student. Kyuubey offers them a deal, he will grant any wish from them but in reward, they have to become magical girls. However, there is a catch. Akemi, who is one herself, urges them not to become a magical girl stating that NOTHING that Kyuubey says is not what it seems. It's basically a story of hope, despair and friendship. It tells the story of difficulties to be a magical girl. It looks cute, and it looks like a typical magical girl anime but I promise you, it's REALLY not what it seems. It's super dark, by super it's really dark. As usual, triggers are: Dark themes, and maybe a few suicide mentions too. - 黒執事 / Black Butler / 3 seasons (s1 has 24 episodes, s2 has 12 episodes and s3 has 10 episodes), 2 movies Sypnosis: A 13-year-old boy named Ciel Phantomhive (シエルファントムハイヴ) who is known as "Queen's Guard Dog" takes care of unsettling events around Victorian England in London, aided by his butler, Sebastian Michaelis (セバスチャンミカエリス) with inhuman abilities. Ciel uses what's necessary just to get the job done. In Ciel's past lies a great tragedy that made him become emotionless, and in darkness - during one of his bleakest moments, he formed a contract with Sebastian. In which, he wanted revenge for the people who hurt him, and the things he loved. In the present day, Sebastian is not only one hell of a butler, but he's perfect to serve out his master's orders. As the story progresses, both of them go and find out who really was the cause of Ciel's past. Triggers include: Abuse and gore Comedy: - 桜蘭高校ホスト部 / Ouran Highschool Host Club / 1 season / 26 episodes Sypnosis: Haruhi Fujioka (藤岡ハルヒ) is a scholarship candidate with no title or rank to speak of (which is rare at the Ouran Academy). She goes to Ouran Academy which is for elite and rich students of high pedigree. Whilst trying to find a place to study, she goes to the Music Room #3, she stumbles upon the Host Club. Led by the "Prince" Tamaki Suoh (周防環) - the other members include the "Shadow King" Kyoya Ootori (鳳 鏡夜); Mischievous twins called Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin (常陸院光, 常陸院馨); Childlike Mitsukuni Haninozuka (埴之塚光邦); and his strong protector Mori Takashi (銛之塚崇). In a rush attempt to get rid of them, she accidentally breaks the expensive vase that they were going to auction which is worth 8 million yen and is forced into becoming a host with them. Thanks to her masculine appearance, she is able to disguise herself as a man, she is promoted to a full-time host. Haruhi is forced into elaborate cosplays, rich food, and exciting things that only the Host Club can pull off. There are no triggers, and you're able to watch this alright. - ヘタリア / Hetalia / 6 seasons (upcoming 7th) / Movie / 4 musicals / 52 episodes / Just so you aren't confused, the seasons are merged. The episodes are 5 minutes long, so you could binge-watch this in 1 day. S1 and s2 would be, Hetalia: Axis Powers (52 episodes) S3 an s4 would be, Hetalia: World Series (52 episodes) S5 would be, The Beautiful World (20 episodes) S6 would be, World Twinkle (15 episodes) And the upcoming series which is s7, would be, World Stars. Sypnosis: (JUST TO LET YOU KNOW, HETALIA DOESN'T HAVE A PLOT, IT'S JUST SKITS AND MOCKING THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD). What if nations were people? What traits would they have? What would this mean for historical events? Hetalia takes nations into characters, it takes a comedic and light take to politics and historical events whilst educating the viewers. Taking place during WWI and WWII, the story focuses on the trio called the Axis Powers, (Italy, Germany and Japan) and occasionally the other nations too, and the Allied Forces. It features the main title character, Northern Italy, who is clumsy, carefree and loves pasta; Germany, who is very serious but easily flustered; And Japan, who is stoic and has bizarre interests. Just a warning, it's VERY inappropriate at times but it mostly mocks history and turns them into comedic events. Also, I recommend the English dub, it's 100x funnier than the sub. Anime fan ha? Nice to know that. I'd recommend you a Studio Ghibli movie that is by far my favourite Studio Ghibli movie made by Hayao Miyazaki. The movie is basically about a boy who admires planes and one day decides to work on creating some himself for Japan. I won't say much about it now since it may just be spoilers, but if you like planes, then it's just an extra bonus to it. Of course, nearly all Studio Ghibli movies are really good. Their movies are known to have female leads in many of their movies, but this movie has a male lead. If you ever get the chance to watch it, you won't regret watching it. i really like "black butler the book of the atlantic" but that film makes more sence if u watch the anime first so you know whats going on haha
I watched the movie with a friend in cinemas and we both cried half the time while watching it. Great series.
