alright so i have a problem with buying games, never playing them, and then repeating this so on. i currently have 228 unplayed games that i've purchased. the oldest one in that list is probably the witcher 3 (a sin i know), and i'm currently trying to beat a game a week or so.

i use howlongtobeat.com to organize my games and keep track of what i'm playing, progress, etc.

how many do you have, what's your oldest (purchase date), and what's your plan for getting through them?

Like 20 N64 Games, 100 something Wii Games, 13 Wii U Games, 30 DS games, 20 3DS games and A couple switch games. (That i've not 100% finished) I've done all my SNES and NES ones my oldest game I bought was Mario kart DS for the DS since that was with my own money and I later discovered older consoles and handhelds

I don't have many games on my pc(that are a play through). I mostly play games like COD, which don't really have an ending in the multiplayer mode. I do have a wii though, and have about 20 games that I've played through. I have a switch too, and have games like odyssey and links awakening(great game) that I've played through. next month I'm getting a 3ds again so I play through old games again. I never pirate my games(unless they're retro) because I like the feeling of actually having them.
my first game I owned was mario kart wii when I was like 5. still love that game and play it every day, probably my 2nd most played game behind mc.

I haven't completed a new game I bought since Super Mario Odyssey in '17 (which wasn't even that good). Just kinda gave up with buying games cause I never finish them anyway and I don't get the same thrill I used to get when I'm gaming.

I played through the whole story of the 2018 Spiderman game on the PS4 including all the DLCs. That game was fun although the story got less and less intriguing especially in the DLC. I loved the 2018 Modern Warfare campaign. Honestly probably the best COD campaign they’ve released in terms of graphics and story.

I’ll only really buy a game if I know i’ll play through it. Although exceptions for those games that I buy due to peer pressure from my friends (Dead by Daylight, Phasmaphobia, Half-Life Alyx, etc.)

Considered buying cyberpunk. Eventually decided against it - $60 for a game just doesn’t cut it for me anymore.

You've got to be kidding if you say SMO isn't good, I've spent like 8000 hours on that game. And I'm known for being one of the best trickjumpers in the world for that game. It's a great game, it's just you probably don't know the controls well enough.

I think everyone can agree that the best Mario game ever is Mario Teaches Typing. It was so good, that it even got a fucking sequel.

Too much filler and other than the any% section of the game, there wasn't really much to do other than just go around those kindgoms over and over again to ground pound everywhere to find hidden moons. Not exactly the most exciting missions if you ask me, SMS blue coins were more exciting than that lol.
It's good. Just not great and definitely not on the level of the other 3D Marios. Also, the trick jumping may be cool on a top level, but other than that the controls feel very limited and lack diversity (although they serve the purpose of the game very well, I will give you that). I find SM64 and SMS movement to be much more interesting than SMO, and there are many strategies to learn in both those games at any level to improve your general movement. In SMO, learn to roll cancel and you're pretty much done. Although, that's coming from a top level SMG2 speedrunner so I can't say much.

I mean yeah but also no, for the roll cancelling part. vaulting is another big thing as well as doing other tricks 1 after another. but yeah, For SM64 I can agree with but Sunshine not so much. Also what categories do you run in SMG2?

I've done mostly ILs, that's where I really shine. Although, I've done quite a few 242 RTAs (even though my RTA consistency is absolute shit). Trying to relearn Green Stars to push my PB down near the 3:05 mark or lower.
