I've recently been informed that ageism is a thing. If this is true, here is what I think. I have come to the conclusion that a majority of restaurants are ageist. They only allow people under a certain age to order from the kids menu, which is morally wrong. We are now cancelling restaurants. Restaurants are ageist, prove me wrong.
the first time I felt grown-up was when the waiter brought me a menu without me asking for one that hit me differently I agree
(background info) Pretty much there was a debate on discord about spamming and someone made fun of someone for playing Minecraft at 30+ years old. Someone responded saying it was ageist and siere says "no way you got offended by that" The agism in this society is disgusting and I'd suggest we all call the boomers names for starting this >:(
Like I said in the Discord, The kids menu in most restaurants is food aimed towards children. It tends to be smaller portions and food items that kids are familiar with. Just because it's labeled as "Kids Menu" doesn't mean that older people can't order from it. E.G) My great-grandmother orders from the kids menu at most restaurants because she gets full quickly.
Who cares bruh, I don't order from the kids menu because contrary to popular belief I am a big boy and the small boy portions just don't do it for me anymore. But, if one day I felt like eating a small boy portion instead of my regular big boy portion of chiki nuggies and apple sauce then yes I will choose the small boy portion with no shame. Sure, they might hate me for being a big boy picking a small boys meal which makes them less money but once again I am a big boy and make my own choices. And if they don't agree, I will cough on them. And for the Minecraft argument, I used to think like that too but now that I am indeed a big boy I see how wrong I was. When I was 14 I thought ''pfft, anyone above the age of 20 playing games is a loser'' which I wasn't wrong on that but times change and people will continue doing what they enjoyed as kids/teens which is play games. Like Minecraft. I have a hoodie that people say I am too old to wear, but you know I am happy with it. It's first of all comfy and second of all it's from a show that made me laugh super hard. Ageist, more like rapi.. nvm
i dunno man i think the word "kid's" is in the name "kid's meal" for a reason business is business. sure they put "kids 12 and under" but honestly who fucking cares order that kraft mac and cheese
point proven. Ageism. Absolutely fucking disgusting how oppressed older people are treated at restaurants, petition for change!!
You know you're getting old when they don't even ID check you when you order a beer with your meal. Nah, for reals though they ain't gonna stop you from ordering something off the kids menu, and I swear sometimes the only good thing on the menu is in the kids section.
I want more chiken nuggies! I demand to be labeled as 13 again for the kids eat free discounts at my local restaurants! EDIT: I have an idea that could revolutionize the restaurant industry. The "Kid at Heart" menu, big boi sizes for little boi apetites (:
Awh yea? Next time we go to a restaurant you will order something else other than fried chicken and fries whether you like it or not. This guy went to a Chinese restaurant and ordered chicken nuggets. Don't trust him. Big boy? More like big baby.
honey i've taken him everywhere but he wont change his mind and that's fine at least he eats smth else :*
