Hello everyone, as most of you know OITC just got a reset a week ago and already the player count is starting to drift away. Games aren't being played as regularly and bigger games are hard to come by. Along with a couple other OITC players, we are proposing to host a tournament on OITC once a week for 12 players at a time. Requirements to enter: -Must have at least 1300 rating on OITC -Must have discord IN ORDER TO ENTER OR LEARN MORE ABOUT THE TOURNEY YOU MUST: add dylanj1#6454 on discord or talk to Kaiisawesome95, NeedMoreRamen, Gornk, or jelee_ on minecraft. Details: A 12 person FFA (world cup style) tournament that eliminates one player each round. The first game will start with all 12 players in one game and will be played exactly like a normal game with no extra rules. The player that finishes in last will be eliminated and the next game will start with the other 11 players. Each round will start with 1 less player until there are two left. These last two players will play an unranked 1v1 to be crowned the victor. We would like the tournament to take place at the same time each week. We are thinking of either 2pm or 4pm EST on Sunday or Saturday. We really think this tournament could do really well and will hopefully bring more players to play OITC more regularly. We also are thinking of having some of us record the gameplay and upload to youtube along with a spectator or two recording as well to get the full view of the games from in the air. These games will be very competitive and may not be inviting for a lot of players that play casually. If you do not have 1300 ELO yet and want to either spectate or at least be added to the Tourney discord server add dylanj1#6454 If this tournament goes well and people are fond of the style and idea, we hopefully will be able to give out a prize of some sort or maybe get a custom prefix/tag for the player that wins each week.
Ah it's just my style of play does not mix well in a full game with people who are actively playing their hardest. I would only take the spot of someone more motivated.
You could always be a spectator and record the games from your perspective and if you change your mind at any point you can join down the road.
