Last year's resolutions (2017 Edition)

I completed most of those which I'm proud of tbh.

- I started going back to the gym once a week which has proved to be a success

- I passed one of my GCSEs and gained my music diploma which I'm super happy about

- Still haven't learnt how to drive lmao

- I know how to play bass guitar & I'm slowly learning drums

- I saw Green Day live and I want to see them again

- Never achieved that LOL

Goals for 2018:

- Successfully move house
- Get a regular job
- Get my level 3 music diploma
- Go to reading festival
- Not die

 

Never had one because I knew I would never do it :P

I'm not good at anything and I don't have the life to do it so no 2018 goal...

 

I forgot what they were. I'll just make a list here for next year so I don't forget.

Goals for 2018:

- Go to a concert for the first time
- Travel somewhere through a plane (Not likely, but who knows)
- Get a job
- Write and produce 10 songs
- Learn how to drive
- Pass my grade
- Not die
- Start a record collection (Own at least 10 or more records)
- Explore music more (Different genres/Older music)


I'll add anything else I think of before 2018.

 

First off let me say my resolutions were fking shit lol. Anyways:

So I mean hey 2 out of 3 isn't too bad.

Resolutions for 2018:

• Finish high school
• Gain more weight (I'm not joking)
• Visit a country outside of Europe
• Maybe go to England???
• Also go on an airplane for the first time in my life (:
• Convince my parents to get a pet (preferably a cat)

For 2018:
-Figure out what the fuck I want to do after Highschool

 

My resolutions for 2018
1. Continue passing my courses in college (preferably not by as slim of a margin as some of the classes this semester xnx)
2. Find some better friends I can hang out with irl
3. Stay staff for as long as possible
4. Don't die
5. Figure out either: Python, JavaScript, or R coding.
6. Visit a gym for once in my life
7. Keep music-ing good
8. Make my faction Echo slightly less dead (@Sir_Tealsworth lol)
9. Figure out what the hell I'm going to do after college
10. Find some better resolutions for 2019

 

I didn't post anything on these threads soo imma post what I achieved this year:
-Had one of the best summers of my life, unfortunately
-Found friends, lost them, realised that they are just a piece of garbage just like everyone I know IRL
-I did decent at school lol
-I realised lots and lots of things about myself, what I need, what I want and what the fuck I'm going to do for the rest of my life
-HIT THE GYM WOO
-Watched a lot of movies and passed my time productively
-Got a SNES
-Went to a shooting range

Yea just like 2016, these 2 years have been (for the most part anyway) terrible (2016 was completely shit actually) so I don't have high hopes for 2018
but anyway here


For 2018:
-Study for #ΠΑΝΕΛΕΛΕ2019
-Try not to fall for anyone and stay loyal to my favourite daddy GERALT ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
-COSPLAY as a plague doctor
-Try and find some quality people/friends I can hang out with and have fun for once in my fucking life
-Continue going to the shooting range and get even better at it
-CONTINUE HITTING THE GYM WOO
And last but not least
-Watch more movies and complete all the games I've downloaded (and yes they are A LOT)

Be alive.. so i think I did pretty good with that one.

2018 has a bigger list..

- hold my job, pass my probitionary time and make lots of money.
- pass my G2 Driver License (able to drive on my own)
- Move out of my parents home.
- Get a lot more muscle, go to the gym I guess.
- Get diamond in league of lego!!!1!1!1!1!
- Be alive.

Teal’s Self-Betterment Resolutions of Destiny

• Start drawing again
• Get a better job
• Build more stuff on J&H
• Awaken the Avatar state
• To some capacity publish the Echo Modpack
• Eat more pizza
• Gain buff not fluff
• Pay my landlord on time at least once

 

the only goals i achieved from that was create more friends and eat healthier. in no way am i more confident and if anything my grades got worse

my 2018 goals will be:

- continue to go to nationals for soccer
- actually get better grades
- get a job i need money oml
- visit somewhere out of australia

 

my goals for 2018

- continue to eat healthy

- complete my rings everyday on my Apple Watch
- take up a new habit
- watch every Star Wars movie

*the ones in bold might not happen this year, or will be my New Year's resolution for the rest of my life

Well I didn't post in any of those goals for 2017 threads, but some of my resolutions I remember were
-start going to the gym

My 2018 resolutions:

-go to the gym with friends, so I have someone to keep me accountable. I won't have class on Fridays so I'll hopefully have more free time.
- pass 2 actuary exams (one in February and the other sometime in 2017 after the Spring semester)
-get a summer internship
- hang out with friends more often, so I do not alienate myself. I live in a house with 18 friends, so I need to take advantage of that.
-join actuary club to meet more people with similar interests
-talk to my family more often while I'm away

 

My resolutions for 2018:

• Do well in NCEA Level 2.
• Go from an internship to part time employee at my work.
• Learn more about C# and ASP.net and making Web API's.
• Get my drivers license.

My resolutions from last year (not posted):

• Do well in NCEA Level 1
  • Not sure yet, I won't find out the results for a month -.-
• Go from an internship to part time employee at my work.
  • Obviously not, since its in my resolutions for next year.

 

My resolution for 2017 was 2017x2017, which was indeed quite a clever joke at the time but I believe that at this point it is obsolete and inappropriate. Resolutions are a very important thing in life; they let you know how much of a failure you are, even to yourself. Ergo, a lot of thought needs to be poured into these beacons of hope so that you'll finally see the real disappointment and stop believing. It's such a shame that some people take things like friendship and love and productivity more seriously than resolutions. It's almost as if they fear the impending doom of guilt and sorrow looming over them, laughing at their pathetic insignificance and feeding off their tears. I'm not saying they necessarily strive for utter perfection, but an emotional breakdown probably follows every 96% grade they get, you know what I mean? But anyway, who am I to speak. After all, I have 1.8 megabytes worth of pictures of statistics of my old maps on my computer. I assume I took them while my mouth watered over each view. Perhaps I busted a nut for every person who opened the map, saw a giant cat, then immediately deleted Minecraft. But hey that's just my assumption, maybe I was an angel, but still, life is suffering.

It's good to think of your New Year's resolutions as a To-Do list!
