Hacks- What they are, how they are used, and how to tell if someone is hacking.

So, on one in the chamber and other places, people can hack.
Sometimes it is obvious, sometimes it is not. In other words, people can report hackers that are not really hacking.

So let us begin

What is a hacker?​

A hacker is someone who modifies the game in order to surpass other players, in ways they should not. An example of a hacker would be flying in survival mode, while others can not. In one in the chamber, a well known hack would be forcefield. Others are used too, but that one is most common.

Different types of hacks

Fly hacking

This is probably the most known type of hack. The user basically flies around in survival mode with no use of /fly or creative mode. However, most servers are able to protect against this, making it so the user gets kicked upon flying. Jerry and harry have protection on this.

Kill aura

Kill aura is used to kill others with speedier than normal movements, killing from a farther distance than normal, and makes it so it is really hard to kill the person

Speed mode

Basically in this hack you have speed. Using this hack makes it so you are faster than other users. This is also an easily patched hack. Jerry and harry have protection on this hack.

Sneak

Using this hack, when you are sneaking, you are sneaking, except you have normal speed. Using this hack makes it unfair to others who sneak, because with this your name tag doesn't show up. Jerry and harry do not have protection on this hack.

Aimbot

This hack is used to lock on to your target. This hack is almost impossible to tell because it does not give any appearance whatsoever, but it might be obvious if someone can not miss a shot. I do not know if jerry and harry have protection on this hack.

Derp mode

Probably the funniest hack. This hack makes your character go bizzaro. I don't really care about this hack, because it is not a problem.

Killaura- My most hated hack.

Then there is killaura, but i have to come up with a scenario first because yolo. Say in one in the chamber, you're fighting this random person, and you're in the air, ten blocks away, and this guy kills you all the way up there. Its annoying and really affects your kd ratio. So what it does is it makes a person be able to hit you while facing away. And reach makes a person reach out farther distance than normal to hit. Jerry and harry have not patched this yet, so it remains able to use.

Anti-Knockback

Pretty self explanatory. In this a person does not get knocked back, making sumo or king of the ladder impossible to play. Jerry and harry have not patched it, but it is easy to patch, so i don't why yet :/

Final one to explain- Criticals

Criticals are when a person can get critical hits while not jumping. In other words they kill you in two kills without jumping. This is almost impossible to patch, so they have not patched it yet.

Nice try, but you seem to not understand how Kill Aura works.

Basically, the concept of killaura works very similarly with Forcefield, as it attacks anyone in the players "range".
The hack I think you were trying to say was most likely Auto-Crit.

 

For those who know Java, programming an anti-fly-hack thing is simple.

This should be used as a guide in the Hacking section of the Report Abuse so that people might be able to know what kind of hack the person is using.

Actually I think you're wrong. People use hacks in OITC all the time.
Please don't say he loses a lot in OITC because of this thread he made.
You have no idea whether or not he sucks or not.
I agree with him 100%.
People do hack and make the minigame unfair.
And you have no reason to tell him that he sucks and is not good.

 

So what if he loses? The only way that we get better is by failing and learning from our mistakes. That's actually how most of the greats became the greats! You need to think about what you're going to say if you want to give some helpful advice whilst not hurting the poster's thoughts on how other people think of him. Treat others the way you want to be treated.

 

I never said he was bad or that he loses alot... I have played with @Noahnoobfax before, and he is infact a great player. I never meant for this to hurt anyone.

I think that players should not be punished if they are using hacks that do not ruin other's experiences, like the Derp hack. If it were my server, I would allow that 100% as long as Derp is the only thing they're doing.

 

If they use hacks I'm pretty sure they wouldn't only use the derp hack....

 

Also note that these hacks are only PVP hacks. There are also different kinds of hacks like griefing hacks.

 

? There are no "griefing" hacks...
As long as a server has an anti grief plugin no hacks can bypass that.
