My username: WolfyTheFur Hi there my dear Harry. So, here's what's been happening for the past 4 or so hours. I log in. I play for a little bit. I notice that things are starting to lag. Then, the server seems to stop accepting packets from my client. I get packets from the server still, so I'm not disconnected. However, I can't execute commands, send messages, or anything. When my client finally disconnects, one of the following 3 messages appear: 1) [Proxy] Lost connection to server 2) Disconnected from server 3) Internal Exception: java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host I was on TeamSpeak the entire time, and never disconnected. Before anyone mentions this, I can't just "restart my router". I'm on a University internet. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: My internet connection is 95 Mb down, and was 15-20Mb up at the time that this was happening. 15-20Mb should be enough to play MC, and is more than most players have down. University is not filtering and throttling MC packets, as I have been able to play fine before. University is not throttling my internet connection. I'm able to upload a YouTube video (2.5GB) in less than 15 minutes. Yes, I realize "lag" is not a bug. However, I have relatively proved that the problem is not on my end.
There's a reason I'm double-posting. Please ignore The problem seems to have stabilized itself for right now. However, the fact still stands that I had 15-20Mb up and still a problem with the server. So I'm not closing the thread, and leaving it to Harry. -----------------EDIT NUMBER 2------------------- I'm having some rather slow chunk loading, also... I realize this is all related to network, and not plugins. However, with my connection, I should have the chunks. loaded rather quickly.
I Hate this. But! Maybe @ItsHarry and @ItsJerry are going to switch hosts that are better. I beleive it has something to do with the DDos Protection thing. Correct me if I am rong. :) BTW: Is Their not an edit button? Or was it not showing up for you?
