What's your countries stereotypes and are they true?

Judging by the amount of people from different countries it would be interesting to see what stereotypes are true or not.

I live in Wales.
Wales has a lot of sheep yes but never in the history of Wales has there been any form of desire for people to "shag" sheep.

Scousers are thieves, Yorkshiremen are tight as a duck's arse, Geordies would wear a string vest in a blizzard, Mancs are miserable fuckers and southerners are all wimps. People from Norfolk are all inbred. Scots are alcoholics. The Welsh shag sheep.

We wear big sombreros, ponchos, and sandals. We don't have beds, instead we sleep under a cactus. We don't drive cars, instead we ride donkeys for miles. We're excellent jumpers and swimmers. We eat tacos and drink tequila for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. George Lopez is our uncle and El Chapo is our cousin. We're all apart of the drug cartel.

What exactly is a hobbit?

- We are all obsessed with Lord of the Rings, and Mordor is our garden.
I've never watched LOTR before.

- We have funny accents.
Depends which one you're talking about. There's 3 different types of accents:
1. Standard RP-derived accent, which is the accent most people in the country have. Unlike places like Ireland or the UK, we don't have distinct regional dialects.
2. Māori accent, which is more of a sociolect, as it is generally also used by lower class Europeans. This is where the weird "chur cuzzy aye g shot bro" slang comes from. Personally I find this accent most amusing.
3. Deep south burr, which is the Scottish-influenced semi-rhotic dialect found in southern Otago and Southland.

- We spend all day doing the haka.
Depends on the person.

 

BTW if anyone says UK has odd accents. All of us have different accents lol you can travel about 10 miles and the people sound so different

 

America: Fat, rude, lazy, stupid.
True for the most part lol. Most people I know are overweight, and I see a lot of negativity in the news lol but that's the news so idk.

 

We're a bunch of easy going people who ride dutch manufactured bikes to the coffee shop to get some dutch grown weed, afterwards we go to the eastern legal prostitutes and head to the dutch made cheese market. Then we head home and listen to our dutch produced music as we sit with some dutch cookies to drink some other countrys (that we used to own) tea. It rained the entire way but I swear I saw a slight bit of the sun so I put on my shorts and sandals, so when we get home and sit down we say ''Phoe phoe'' and enjoy ourselves.

First off all, that's racist. Second, it's only mostly true.

Not true, we love Americans more than the Chinese, a lot of people live in the cities, and we tend to not care about commies. But eating pho is true, only for breakfast.

Australian accents can differ depending on what region you’re from

We do not all live out in the bush/desert
New stereotype: If you say you’re from Victoria everyone will avoid you at all costs
Oh...and we do NOT use kangaroos for transport!
