This rewind shows that Youtube has genuinely gone to shit lol
Probably b/c of the Nazi joke and all. It ruined scare Pewdiepie as well
only reason why despacito was in it was bc of the 4+ billion views it got in less than a year
literally closed it as soon as i saw jake paul
I hated this years YT rewind. They went overboard with the "throwing slime" trend and overall was hard to follow (as per usual). They showed a lot less attention to the gaming community, I didn't see many gamers.
yeah it kind of sucked
I didn't like it.
I didn't even recognize anyone in it other than Poppy and others tbh
Although I recognised more than I thought I would, they are trying to incorporate lots of cultures which is good but they are trying to get budget with it. So much of it was green screened and done poorly and it could've been done better.
2012 - Wow, this is a very nice idea
2013 - This should keep going!
2014 - This is still pretty good, looking forward to next year!
2015 - Ok, this is getting a bit old now
2016 - This is still going?
2017 - Was this made by Jake Paul?
This is the first video ever to be able to hurt me PHYSICALLY
It lowered my IQ :(
I honestly did not enjoy the whole slime aspect in part of the video and I had to look at both Something Pauls for a significant few more seconds than everyone else. My man Philip DeFranco got a little bit and Extra Credits had two small sections featuring their art style so I'm glad for them.
I'd consider it a granfalloon... not the enemy from the Castlevania series, just a mess of people.
I finally forced myself to watch it.
There are too many references to stuff. The YT culture is changing so fast that stuffing it into one 5 minute segment is too difficult these days. I wouldn't even care if it was a 10-minute video and they took their time.
I didn't recognize most of the people in it, but I don't see why everyone is hating on it so much saying "it's complete shit" and such, not the best but who really cares? It's still cool. If it were about what really happened this year it'd be a shit storm, all they did was try to keep the video positive and not have all the negative shit in it. Was cringe at some parts but overall it was decent.
Yeah cause Jake Paul is the most positive person on Earth and totally not a shitty person.
Yeah cause half of these people make advertiser friendly content (*Cough* KSI *Cough*)
Yeah cause YouTube conviently hid the fact that they completely screwed over many people with the whole demonetization shitshow
Yeah cause fidget spinners yet not a single emoji to fill up the cringe meter
Yeah cause fucking television shows are on it for not a single good reason
Just the fact that it’s painted as positive is enough to hate it
I don't understand why they did "the whole world stands together as one" bit. We go to YT to escape that, not make prominent...
Here we go. The real Youtube Rewind of the year two-thousand and seven-teen. Viewer discretion is advised if you are younger
It was better, but still not that good though.
It just shows that YT is becoming more of a cringe-fest than we ever expected it to be... :/
I prefer to watch Google's Year in Search way more than Youtube Rewind. It's not nearly as popular, it's not as long, it doesn't have a giant budget like youtube rewind, but google really does a great job each year showing what this world has been through in the past 12 months.
I do appreciate the fact that youtube at least referenced some real world problems this year in Rewind, but its just getting too crowded. I feel like its to the point where I know like 10% of the youtubers in Rewind and they only appear for about 5 frames. The rest of the video is just a bunch of random people recreating memes.
Edit: Actually I literally just found out Google Year in Search came out 5 hours ago! I would recommend watching it, although 2016's was a bit better.
I like this better than YT Rewind this year.
