For PC, those may be good. However, by combining both Mac and PC, Screenflow for mac is probably the best recording software out there. It is free, but it will have a demo watermark in the middle of your screen. However, if you are looking to report hackers and stuff, it's perfect. People with 10 Fps can still record a great looking video. It has a fantastic editing system too. Also, quicktime (at least the old version) is a fantastic recorder when it is put at medium quality.
I use screencast-O-matic for recording hackers, since it's easy to start and upload But for youtube videos i use Fraps
I use screencast-o-matic 1 word: awesome pros: so easy to record, and to upload cons: cant record somethings, when you record and play the footage back, you will not see what you recorded, instead, your home screen
Hmm, fraps would be, but it isn't free. However there is a free version that can only record 60 second videos, but I guess that's good for reporting hackers.
I prefer using DXTory. You can buy it, but many people used the cracked versions. I use the full one, because it just gets the job done.
Fraps is good, but the recordings take up A LOT of memory. Overwolf is what I use otherwise. The quality is bad and it can be laggy, yes. But it's easy to use in a pinch and the file sizes are smaller.
The full version of Fraps is actually realllllyyyy easy to get, and Fraps is really good. Sure, the Fraps files are huge, but you can resize them through video editing programs etc. Plus, almost every single recording softwere you mentioned has an ugly watermark on it, and I'm sure that many people don't want that. *gags* Uhm... sure...
