Thank you for adding this wonderful feature. This will make reporting a player much easier and it will also have some benefits for staff members.

'False reporting can get you banned'.

What happens if we report a hacker and a staff member decides to go have a geez at this hacker report. But when the staff member goes to have a geez, the hacker decides to turn off the hacks. THEN the staff member would be like "ha lol GdayImAlex you lil fgt false reporting, he/she aint even hacking, get banned you peasant!"

I'll tell ya what will probs happen aye.

    Scenario time!

I report staff member for abuse/false ban.
Staff member argues his/hers side about how it wasn't abuse/false ban.
Neither the staff member or myself have proof that this player was hacking.
Staff member however is a trustworthy staff member, lets say this staff member is a mod+ or admin. This staff member continues to say that the player I reported was not hacking, therefore was a false report. Technically speaking, because this staff member is of high tier, you would have to be silly not to take his/her word.
    My report/ban appeal gets denied.
    Shit goes down.
    Drama starts.
    Fuck yeh sick.

SoooOooooOoo, how ya gonz deal with that shiz nizzle?

So basically my suggestion renamed from modreq to report? lol. I'm not complaining though. Hell, I was pushing for something like this :P

You can find my (now closed)/modreq suggestion here.

I can say from a staff standpoint that this is extremely effective and a great improvement to the report system

Thank you J&H :) this will be better for members that don't want to hunt down staff. But will it send a notifacion to staff when /report is used?

The hacker won't be able to see the staff member, so he/she/it wouldn't need a reason or alarmed to turn off the modifications.

If someone reports someone for hacking and it turns out they weren't hacking or turned the hacks off, we don't tempban the person who reported them.
We only ban for abusing the system if someone reports someone without a legitimate reason or with spam.

No. This wouldn't work. You'd need evidence.

/report raises awareness of a situation, an alert of sorts. Staff see that alert and then go see for themselves.
No evidence required from the players:)
