Post a Poem

Often times when I am bored, I like to write things. I usually write poems, but I don't usually like to post them publicly. Today though, I want to post a poem that I wrote, but also see what you guys have written. It doesn't necessarily have to be a poem, any form of writing is okay. If it's a huge long story, just do a portion of it and not the whole thing.

Anyways, here is a poem that I wrote called "True Friend."

Demand of respect.
A demand on its own.

Only needed when they ask.
No one there when you’re alone.

Prevent many mistakes.
Choose what to keep and what to take.

Take away what you can.
Asking for a better plan.

I plan to make better friends.
Ones that make life great again.

Nothing worse than someone uninteresting.
Always putting your feelings up for testing.

Break you apart and watch you shatter.
Acting like your well being doesn’t ever matter.

Twisted words and hurtful remarks.
Should you even take the chance to embark?

Why try when you have tried too much?
Trying to see them, but they never stay in touch.

Two faced people with double standards.
Only after things that they are reaching towards.

Would they ever ask about you and your goals?
Would they ever help you at your all time low?
Would they spare a moment to get to know?

Would they know what to ask and what to say?
Would they ever ask if you were okay?

Starting to feel frustrated.
Tired of friends that seem so outdated.

Finding friends that matter is an endeavoring task.

Will you find a friend that will truly care?
That is the hardest question to ask. ​

I sleep in the clouds, dream in the sky,
I'll keep dreaming as life passes me by,
I think my dreams keep me sane,
I dream of happiness, a life without pain,
some people say I'm stuck in this place,

but in my dreams I've already been there,
I know some day I'll have to wake up,
but I feel the real world is more like a nightmare,

this poem is my life. I say it every day and I cannot every stop. It was said by my mother who kept saying it when my grandfather died. after that my mother died, then the poem was handed down to my brother who keeps saying it to me after her death. I will always say it no matter what. I have lost so much but I would never lose something that my mother and I made.
Here It Is;

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am Not there.
I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond that glows in snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken the morning hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet bird in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night

MY BABE OMG

 

A poem I wrote about Guan Yu battling an evil spirit.​

It was a fine battle. Just look! Indeed:​

Soon as the battle took place,
Loud clashes of weapons.
The Guando,
The Jian,
As the two weapons met, you can no longer tell which is best.
Between the two, none of them were willing to give up.
Strong was the spear that Guan Yu parried,
Mighty was the sword that the evil spirit swung.
As the two of them fought,
The sky is darkened.
As both fought,
Earth was filled with sand and dust,
Strong gust of winds blew,
Loud roars of thunder.
Heaven was thrown into panic,
Gods, goddesses, bodhisattvas, immortals could no longer attend the Heavenly Peach Banquet.
Hell was turned upside down.
The Ten Kings of Hell all fled for cover.
Both fought their way into mid-air,
As the two rose on their clouds.
When the spear moved, it was like a snake,
As the sword struck, it was like a tiger jumping for its prey.
Just look up in the sky and see the fine battle,
Who is winning you would say?
You couldn't distinguish who was because,
Both sides were fighting equally in power and audacity,
None was emerging as the victor.​

 

Important People

When I see family and friends,
I often wonder at,
The way they've filled my life and how,
Before they came it lacked,

A certain surreal melody,
A kind of mystic glow,
A warming of my heart that ere,
They came I couldn't know.

They're the important people,
Without whom we're quite alone.
They make us important people,
Help us make it on our own.

It matters not what others think,
It's what your family knows;
And friends are friends no matter what,
Their faith in you will show.

They make us part of something,
Give a place where we belong.
They lend security and comfort,
Give the heart it's song.

They're the ones I care about,
Because they care for me.
One needn't travel very far,
To find security.
