Detailed description of bug:
I think that bat spawning should be disabled due to that they are useless and they spawn by insane amounts as you can see in the images bellow...





It isn't really a bug, but I didn't knew where else to post it, It just decreases the server perfomance.

 

Hmm, I extremely rarely see any bats.
But if they are spawning by that amount, I think it should be removed.

Good thinking, maybe just decrease the natural spawning rate, or just prevent natural spawning.
(But I haven't seen bats in these numbers in person)

I agree with @josecamacho this should be removed.

 

Bats spawn in dark places similar to hostile mobs, I suggest lighting up most dark places under your island if possible. they dont really have a purpose as ya said, and too many in one place could create lag.
