(PK) Biome's Adventure. (Locked/Outdated)

I have managed to beat the map, meaning all jumps are officially possible for those who were wondering.

I was looking through the forums, and I stumbled against 'Map Submissions'.

I decided to take a look at it, and after a little bit of work, I decided to create a parkour map for the server. The parkour map features 4 different types of biomes (Grass, Dessert, Mushroom and Snow) which gets harder over time. These levels are short, which means they are going to be mashed together. Criticism & reccomendations are accepted, and I would love to hear what you have to say.

This map took me about 24+ hours to make, so please accept what effort it took.

Description of the map:
A short parkour map which features 4 biome types (Grass, Dessert, Mushroom and Snow) which gets harder over time. The build took 24+ hours to make (most likely 27-28) and all design and ideas were all by me. It is in a void world (preset: 0;0) and I used the command /setblock ~ ~ ~ minecraft:(block id) to start building. Each level most likely takes 30+ seconds to get through.

Wow, this looks great! I love the detail. It looks challenging, too! Did you include EVERY biome, or just major ones?

However, on the aerial view, it appears that there are many red mushrooms and no brown ones.

 

Just the major ones.
And it really is challenging, honestly, I can't even beat the first part.
(But yes, all these jumps SHOULD be possible.)​

I think it would fit in because the maps recently are so dark, and not open. I wanted to make it small and compact.

I am just wondering when they are going to accept maps.​

 

This map looks overall pretty cool. The only thing I could think of about this map not being implicated, is that there are already maps that focus around the biomes of Minecraft. An example could be Heatdude's map, which is called 'Cube'. Other then that, I don't see why not this shouldn't be implicated.

 

I was looking at Heatdudes map, which yes, does include biomes. But I was thinking since: A) They have different names and B) They have a different look from the inside & out, I decided a map like this.

There were at least one. I didn't want to use the brown ones because they didn't look very good with the scenery, so I didn't place as many red.

You guys have been incredibly supported to my build, so I am going to put a poll up in a bit.

All of the likes have really helped me a lot and I hope I get accepted. This is a project I have been working on, not just building it, but constantly checking the forums, and the server, and talk to the mods/helpers has been my main priority.​

 

It looks great! How ever, the mushrooms are bone-mealed, which isn't much of a problem, but the fact that they are on all the parkour jumps (at least based on the photos you provided). Another thing, the islands seem a bit copied. It looks a bit like you just used the same design over and over again for each island in the parkour. Overall, okay map. Best of luck to you, and your map!

Sorry for not replying to everyone sooner, this was something that I forgot to come back to sadly.
Thank you all, again.

I do know bone meal was used, and I have lost the save file before I added bone meal, so I don't think I will be able to fix it.

Another thing I wanted to add, I am working on a new map called Magic that won't be finished for a while due to cutbacks.
Also, it requires STRICTLY 1.9/1.10.

Hopefully with the release of 1.11 this would fix things.

Your structures need some work on the exterior detail. Also, fences hanging off the bottom of dirt doesn't look very good. You have the right idea, but it just doesn't flow.

 

Looks really nice! A few touches here and there but other than that, great job. Parkour could always use some more maps. :)

Yes.

Edits have been made to the map due to popular demand including;
Added More Brown Mushrooms.
X Added Clouds (Not Real) (EDIT: This cannot be made due to a bug.)
Added Easter Egg
Deceased Lag (etc.)
And a few more that wouldn't make sense to add.
:) Just so you know, that map download is OUTDATED. However, not broken so you MAY still play using it.
