    PrisonMMO
Welcome to the official PrisonMMO Wiki! PrisonMMO is ItsJerryAndHarry's own twist on the popular minigame Prison. It is nothing like other Prison servers, so don't come into it expecting to already know how it works.

In PrisonMMO, you can level up your skills by training them.

There are 6 skills you can train: Melee, Mining, Woodcutting, Smelting, Brewing and Fishing. Some of these skills can only be trained in the Tiered Areas (see world map). For example, to train Mining you need to mine ores which can not be found outside of the Tiered Areas. As you level up, you can upgrade your gear by crafting or enchanting in the spawn.

The deeper you go into the world away from the spawn, the more dangerous it becomes. However, stronger mobs and better ores, trees, fish and brewing ingredients can only be found in higher tiered areas.

PVP is enabled everywhere outside of the spawn, so try to stay close to Guards to protect yourself from any attackers. Guards will attack nearby players who instigate a fight. However, they won't chase their targets forever! As you go further away from the spawn, there will be fewer and fewer Guards, so stay on your toes at all times.

Check out all of the sections below for more details about the game.

    Skills
There are 6 skills in PrisonMMO. Melee and Mining have a max level of 99, while Woodcutting, Smelting, Brewing, and Fishing have a max level of 50.

    Melee
    Max level: 99

    How to train
Melee can be trained by killing the mobs that spawn in PrisonMMO. High-level mobs give more EXP than low-level mobs. If more than one player hits the same mob and it dies, the EXP gained is shared among the players depending on how much damage they dealt.

    Weapons
Only swords can be used as weapon to train Melee. Swords can be crafted with materials at the
Weapon Crafter in Spawn. Stronger weapons deal more damage and have more durability but are more expensive to craft and require a higher Melee level to use. Hovering over a sword shows the required Melee level and its Attack Damage.
    • Hand
      • Damage: 1
    • Wooden Sword
      • Base damage: 4
      • Required Melee level: 1
    • Stone Sword
      • Base damage: 5
      • Required Melee level: 10
    • Golden Sword
      • Base damage: 6
      • Required Melee level: 20
    • Iron Sword
      • Base damage: 7
      • Required Melee level: 30
    • Diamond Sword
      • Base damage: 8
      • Required Melee level: 40
    Enchanting (Swords)
Weapons can be improved by applying Enchanted Books. Enchanted Books can be obtained from Crates. To apply an enchantment to an item, one has to visit the Wizard in spawn. Enchantment books have a 50% chance of success and - once applied - increase the item's required melee level. A high level enchantment can only be applied to an item which has the previous level enchantment. (E.g. Sharpness IV can only be applied to an item which already has Sharpness III)
    • Sharpness
      • Maximum enchantment level: 5
      • Required Melee level increase: +5 per enchantment level
    • Looting
      • Maximum enchantment level: 3
      • Required Melee level increase: +2 per enchantment level
    • Knockback
      • Maximum enchantment level: 2
      • Required Melee level increase: +3 per enchantment level
    • Fire Aspect
      • Maximum enchantment level: 2
      • Required Melee level increase: +4 per enchantment level
    • Unbreaking
      • Maximum enchantment level: 3
      • Required Melee level increase: +1 per enchantment level
    List of mobs
Different mobs spawn in different areas. Higher level mobs have more health, deal more damage, and give more EXP.

    Armor
Armor items can be crafted with materials. Stronger armor items block more damage and have more durability but are more expensive to craft and require a higher Total level to wear. Hovering over an armor piece shows its required Total level to wear.

    Mining
    Max level: 99

    How to train
Mining can be trained by mining the ore blocks in the world with a pickaxe. Different ores require different mining levels to be mined. Higher-level ores give more EXP than lower-level ores but take longer to mine. Ore blocks retain their "break patterns", meaning it's possible to half-way mine a block and stop the mining animation without having to restart. Ore blocks when mined turn into cobblestone until they regenerate after a set amount of time.

    Pickaxes
Pickaxes can be crafted with materials at the Tool Crafter in Spawn. Stronger pickaxes mine blocks faster and have more durability but are more expensive to craft and require a higher Mining level to use. Hovering over a Pickaxe shows its required Mining level to use.
    • Wooden Pickaxe
      • Required Mining level: 1
    • Stone Pickaxe
      • Required Mining level: 10
    • Golden Pickaxe
      • Required Mining level: 20
    • Iron Pickaxe
      • Required Mining level: 30
    • Diamond Pickaxe
      • Required Mining level: 40
    Enchanting
Pickaxes can be improved by applying Enchanted Books. Enchanted Books can be obtained from Crates. To apply an enchantment to an item, one has to visit the Wizard in spawn. Enchantment books have a 50% chance of success and - once applied - increase the item's required Mining level. A high level enchantment can only be applied to an item which has the previous level enchantment. (E.g. Efficiency IV can only be applied to an item which already has Efficiency III)
    • Efficiency
      • Maximum enchantment level: 5
      • Required Melee level increase: +5 per enchantment level
    • Unbreaking
      • Maximum enchantment level: 3
      • Required Melee level increase: +2 per enchantment level
    • Fortune
      • Maximum enchantment level: 3
      • Required Melee level increase: +3 per enchantment level
    List of ores
Different ores can be found in different areas. Higher-level ores give more EXP, but take longer to mine and have longer respawn times.

    Woodcutting
    Max level: 50

    How to train
Woodcutting can be trained by mining the trees in the world with an axe. Different trees require different woodcutting levels to be cut. Higher-level trees give more EXP than lower-level trees but take longer to cut. Tree blocks retain their "break patterns", meaning it's possible to half-way mine a block and stop the mining animation without having to restart. Tree blocks when mined turn into planks until they regenerate after a set amount of time.

    Axes
Axes can be crafted with materials at the Tool Crafter in Spawn. Stronger axes mine blocks faster and have more durability but are more expensive to craft and require a higher Woodcutting level to use. Hovering over an Axe shows its required Woodcutting level to use.
    • Wooden Axe
      • Required Woodcutting level: 1
    • Stone Axe
      • Required Woodcutting level: 10
    • Golden Axe
      • Required Woodcutting level: 20
    • Iron Axe
      • Required Woodcutting level: 30
    • Diamond Axe
      • Required Woodcutting level: 40
    Enchanting
Axes can be improved by applying Enchanted Books. Enchanted Books can be obtained from Crates. To apply an enchantment to an item, one has to visit the Wizard in spawn. Enchantment books have a 50% chance of success and - once applied - increase the item's required Woodcutting level. A high level enchantment can only be applied to an item which has the previous level enchantment. (E.g. Efficiency IV can only be applied to an item which already has Efficiency III)
    • Efficiency
      • Maximum enchantment level: 5
      • Required Woodcutting level increase: +1.3 per enchantment level
    • Unbreaking
      • Maximum enchantment level: 3
      • Required Woodcutting level increase: +0.6 per enchantment level
    • Fortune
      • Maximum enchantment level: 3
      • Required Woodcutting level increase: +0.9 per enchantment level
    List of trees
Different trees can be found in different areas. Higher-level trees give more EXP, but take longer to cut and have longer respawn times.

    Smelting
    Max level: 50

    How to train
Smelting can be trained by smelting things in a furnace. Different items require different smelting levels to be smelted. Higher-level items give more EXP than lower-level items when smelted but are generally harder (or more expensive) to obtain.

The higher your smelting level is, the faster you will smelt.

Minerals can be converted between normal form and block form by talking to the Mineral Expander and Mineral Compactor NPCs in Spawn.

    Food
Different food items give different amounts of hunger points when eaten.

    Brewing
    Max level: 50

    How to train
Brewing can be trained by brewing potions in a brewing stand. Tier II Potions and Extended potions give more EXP than Tier I potions when brewed but require a higher level.
    • Tier I Potion
      • 20 exp per brew
    • Extended Potion
      • 30 exp per brew
      • Required Brewing Level: 10
    • Tier II Potion
      • 45 exp per brew
      • Required Brewing Level: 20
    • Splash Potion
      • 60 exp per brew
      • Required Brewing Level: 30
    Ingredients
Brewing ingredients can be obtained from collecting mob loot or obtained from the Brewing Assistant (See section "NPCs").
    • Blaze Powder: Blaze
    • Carrot: Iron Golem
    • Glowstone Dust: Cave Spider
    • Ghast Tear: Magma Cube
    • Gold Nugget: Witch, Zombie Pigman

    • Melon: Snow Golem
    • Nether Wart: Zombie
    • Rabbit's Foot: Rabbit
    • Redstone: Spider
    • Slimeball: Slime
    • Sugar: Skeleton

    Fishing
    Max level: 50

    How to train
Fishing can be trained by catching fish in bodies of water in the world with a fishing rod. Different fish require different fishing levels to be caught. Higher-level fish give more EXP than lower-level fish but can only be caught in dangerous areas. The higher your fishing level is, the less time it takes to make a catch.

    Fishing Rod
Fishing Rods be crafted with materials at the Tool Crafter in Spawn.

    Enchanting
Fishing Rods can be improved by applying Enchanted Books. Enchanted Books can be obtained from Crates. To apply an enchantment to an item, one has to visit the Wizard in spawn. Enchantment books have a 50% chance of success. A high level enchantment can only be applied to an item which has the previous level enchantment. (E.g. Lure III can only be applied to an item which already has Lure II)
    • Lure
      • Maximum enchantment level: 3
    • Luck of the Sea
      • Maximum enchantment level: 3
    List of fish
Different fish can only be caught in different areas. Fish are the best food items in PrisonMMO, with one Pufferfish restoring nearly a full hunger bar. Other food sources such as meats dropped by animals restore far fewer food and saturation points.

    PVP
PVP is allowed everywhere in the world except for inside the spawn. Protect yourself by forming a clan and staying close to guards.

You can only instigate a fight while holding a sword. PVP is disabled by default after each log out to prevent unintentionally hitting another player while leveling. You can toggle PVP on or off using the /pvp command. The sword and pvp toggle are overridden if you fight back against the player who instigated a fight with you.

Stay close to Guards at all times to protect yourself from being attacked! Guards will attack the instigator of any fight that happens nearby them (50 blocks). However, guards can not protect anyone they can not see.

Once targeted, guards will chase their targets for up to 75 blocks away from their stationed position. Guards will also stop chasing targets if they walk in to the Spawn.

Guards deal a ton of damage, and will one-shot kill most if not all targets. Guards can not be attacked by players.

Lower level areas have a high density of Guards, meaning you will be relatively safe from attackers. The further away from spawn, the fewer Guards there are. Stay on your toes at all times!

Players who die against Guards do not drop any items. All items (except those protected by a White Scroll) are taken by the Guard.

The victim of an attack, and their clan members, can retaliate without being targeted by a Guard for 30 seconds from the last attack. Be warned that attacking a player other than your instigator will result in you being flagged as an instigator yourself!

Attacking another player will silently flag the attacker for 60 seconds. This flag is hidden and is not visible to players. If the victim of the attack dies before the flag has expired, they will have the ability to report the attacker by talking to the Sheriff NPC.

Reporting an attacker will mark them as a Murderer for 15 minutes of in-game online time. Murderers have the following restrictions:
    • Can not talk with NPCs
    • Can not recall to spawn using the /spawn command.
    • Guards will not protect Murderers. This means anyone can attack a Murderer without being retaliated on by a Guard.
Murderers can easily be spotted by the red "Murderer" tag that floats above their nametag.

If you are marked as a Murderer, you can use the /murderer command to view how much time is left until the Murderer status will expire.

The Murderer status will normally expire after 15 minutes of being online. A Murderer can instantly get rid of their Murderer status by talking to the Sheriff while holding an Expungement item. This item can be acquired from crates.

If you log off as a Murderer, the timer will continue the next time you log on.

Attacking or being attacked by another player will result in both players being tagged as "in combat" for 30 seconds. Logging off while combat tagged will result in instantly dying.

/clan shows a list of commands for managing your Clan.

Players' clan names will shown before their name in chat as well as above their name. Members of the same clan will have the clan prefix show up in green. All other clans show gray.

Members of the same clan can not attack each other in PVP.

    Crates, Quests, Special Items
Mysterious Crates, how to open them, and the unique items that can be acquired from them.

Many rare and unique items can be acquired by opening the Mysterious Crates in the spawn! Mysterious Crates can only be opened using Mysterious Crate Keys.

Mysterious Crate Keys can be acquired by completing the weekly quests, or by purchasing them in the store. The list of available quests can be found by talking to the Quest Master in the spawn across the bridge over the river.

Completed quests reset every Monday at 8:00 AM UTC. Progress on quests that have not yet been completed are not reset.

A message will be written in the chat once a quest has been completed. The reward for completing a quest is 1 Mysterious Key Fragment, which can be received by talking to the Quest Master.

Key Fragments acquired from completing quests at the Quest Master can be forged into Mysterious Crate Keys by talking to the Key Forger in the spawn near the crates.

3 Mysterious Key Fragments are required to forge 1 Mysterious Crate Key.

Some of the special items that can be acquired from opening crates include:
    • Enchanted Books - Can be used to upgrade weapons, tools and armor. See "Melee" section
    • White Scrolls - Will protect an item from being lost on death.
    • Expungement - Used to instantly remove one's Murderer status. See "Murderer Status" section.
    • Golden Apples

White Scrolls can be acquired by opening Mysterious Crates.

The scroll can be applied to any item by talking to the Wizard NPC in the house to the right of the Crafting NPCs.

Upon being killed by a player or death, any item which was protected by a White Scroll will not be lost. However, the seal will be lost upon death, meaning the next time you die, the item will no longer be protected unless a new White Scroll was applied to the item.

The Cave of Life is located near the center of the map (See section "World Map").

There are two entrances which are guarded by Iron Golems. PVP is enabled in The Cave of Life and there are no guards inside.

Inside the Cave of Life is a giant crystal. The Crystal explodes every two hours, blasting out Pieces of Crystal (Sea Lanterns). These pieces can be mined to get Mysterious Key Fragments. The amount of pieces that are shot out depends on how many players are online. For every 4 players online, 1 piece will shoot out. A server-wide broadcast is sent out 30 minutes before the crystal explodes.

Not recommended for low level players.

    NPCs
Many NPCs can be found in the spawn. Each has their own function.

These NPCs will craft various tools, weapons and armors in exchange for specific items, such as minerals and logs.

Many of the items crafted by the Crafter NPCs require mineral blocks. You can convert ores after they have been smelted into minerals by talking to the Mineral Compactor. It is also useful to save inventory space. Compacted minerals can be converted back to their original form by talking to the Mineral Expander.

Talk to the Bank NPC to open your vault, which can be used to safely store away your items. Players have 1 vault by default.

More vaults can be purchased from our store.

You can buy and sell items to other players on the server by talking the Market Clerk! You can list an item on the market by using the /market sell <total price> command.

For example: Hold a stack of 64 Cooked Pufferfish in your hand. Then use the command /market sell 500 to place the 64 fish on the market for $500 in-game money.

Items will stay listed for 2 days, after which they are automatically expired. After an item has expired, you have 14 days to collect it from the Market Clerk, or the items will be lost forever.

You can also manually cancel any listing you have on the Market directly from the menu by talking to the Market Clerk.

Talk to the Money Exchanger to exchange monetary value into item form and vice-versa. This is useful in case you want to make a trade with another player using /trade that involves in-game money.

To convert money to item form, simply click the emerald button in the menu. You will receive a prompt in the chat allowing you to specify how much money you would like to convert.

To convert an item back to money, simply click any bank note in your inventory while talking to the Money Exchanger.

The Item Repairer can fully restore any used tool/weapon/armor's durability for money. The cost of the repair depends on how much of the durability of the item has been used up, the type of item, and what kind of enchantments have been applied to it.

You can preview the repair cost of an item by right-clicking any item in your inventory while talking to the NPC. Left-clicking an item twice will charge the money from your balance and restore the item to full durability.

Talk to the Wizard to apply any Enchanted Books and White Scrolls to an item. Enchanted Books have a 50% success rate, while White Scrolls have a 100% success rate.

Enchantments can only be applied by increments of one. For example, to enchant a sword with Sharpness II, you must enchant it with Sharpness I first.

Successfully applying an Enchanted Book to an item will increase the item's level requirement. See the "Skills" section for more details.

Certain potion recipes require special ingredients such as Glistering Melons, Golden Carrots and Magma Cream. The Brewing Assistant can craft these items from their components. For example Golden Carrots can be crafted using Carrots and Golden Nuggets.

Talk to the Sheriff to report your attackers as Murderers. See "Murderer Status" section above for more details.

This NPC can create Mysterious Crate Keys from 3 Key Fragments. See the "Forging Keys" section for more info.

Use Mounts to travel through the world faster! It can quickly be activated at any time using the /mount command.

    There are currently 3 mounts:
    • Normal (Level 1) - 0.5 jump strength, 0.175 speed
    • Skeleton (Level 2) - 0.6 jump strength, 0.2 speed
    • Undead (Level 3) - 0.7 jump strength, 0.225 speed
Receiving damage from any source other than fall damage will instantly cause the Mount to disappear. The /mount command can be used to re-summon the mount.

Mounts can not be summoned while combat tagged.

If more than 1 mount is owned, the strongest will be chosen by default. A specific mount can be chosen by specifying it in the command. For example: /mount skeleton
