I'm bi, for people who didn't know yet.

Last year I had a really confusing relationship with my best friend. It looked like we were a thing but we weren't? Idk.

This year we admitted that we kinda liked each other last year but we're still just best friends. (we both are in a relationship so yeah. no worries lol, not cheating haha xD)

Anyways, that was something yeah.

 

I went through the same situation 2 years ago- It ended with me losing 20 out of my 22 friends, since rumors began that I was pyhically abusing them. It ruined my year. #itgetsBetter

I really have a dislike for girls. So 100% straight. (No all girls are a little bit bi bullshit) .u.

 

I legitimately don't know if I'm straight or bi. Because all these guys around me just seem to look a little too fine.

In all seriousness... It's not that I don't like people for doing it nor disrespect them, but I genuinely can't relate to the need of publicly revealing what kind of people I would appreciate in my bed.

 

The reason people do this is simple. The LGBT community is small, and the rate or LGBT suicide and bullying is very high. Knowing your allies can save a life. Hope you understand.

 

Or we can just remove the group and treat everyone the same.
That's fair imo. No one is special for like boys, girls, or no one. :,)

 

I understand that's your opinion but pretending this isn't an issue is not good. The fact is, the LGBT community is discriminated against. I get called faggot on a daily basis. Knowing people that understand your pain helps. Also, we cant just say that the issue will be fixed, bigotry is not something that is solved overnight, and often has lead to wars. I understand where you're coming from, but look at the bigger picture.

 

To me, its perfectly fine to be LGBT+. I reccomend you ask the people why they can't leave you alone or "what's wrong with being LGBT+"

Not really. A lot of people question/experiment with their sexuality. You didnt seem rude at all :)

 

The goal is to get rid of discrimination, which goes along with everyone being treated equally, just like you said. However, since we're not there yet, having no allies (as @Diblyy explained) and still experiencing discrimination is a highway to hell...
Groups of people usually unite when facing discrimination (for example, the Jews in Europe after WW2 kind of an extreme example but it works).

 

We went from just asking who is LGBTQ+ to WW2... The internet is a magical place.

Stop bringing sexuality into harassment cases. Bullying based on sexuality isn't a special type of harassment, it is full on harassment and nothing more.
If we stop treating sexuality as something special, then funnily enough people stop finding it funny to mock.
A good example of this is my year level. We have punishments for even slight bullying and sexualities were brought up briefly in health to alert us they do exist but we kept it brief as tbh, being gay or something isn't special. You just like the same sex. We have multiple gay/bi people and most of them are very popular. Very open as well.

People, understandably, want to feel special.
But using your sexuality to do so makes you vulnerable as it's an easy target. Stop treating it as special and it no longer becomes a target.
I'm all for sexual equality but you aren't special for being something other than straight. You aren't different; at the end of the day, I'm human, you're human. That's it.
