Leveled up spawners not returning spawners when mined

Detailed description of bug:I was mining my spawners with multiple inside and I got a message saying they were leveled down..... which is fine, but I didn't get all the spawners back. just the one

 

Staff can’t give back lost items.

 

it wasn't lost.... it didn't give it to me when I mined it.

 

That's lost. It may have been your connection, are you sure you mined it?

 

It happened to me twice, to my slime spawners that i was mining which resulted in a loss of 2 slime spawners. To avoid spawners dropping and vanishing to entity clear, i made sure i built a room around the spawner so that it would hit a wall when broken. When i broke some of the spawners, they didn't seem to drop any spawner but rather just downgraded. Ofc I have no evidence at this point but, I wasn't the only one who experienced this.
