I need a lot of practice. I messed up the composition and the facial features are off but...I hope you all enjoy the change of pace! I plan to do a plethora of IRL art videos such as Character Designs, Let's Draws, Tutorials, etc.
The next portrait I do will be a LOT better. I'm going to take some time to study the forms of the face, geometrically, more so than I already have. Let's Draws and Character Designs will take some time because I need supplies for traditional artwork; however I may do some digitally. I'm excited about the future of my channel!
Practice makes perfect, and thank you! It's good to recognize that comparing yourself to others is important to help learn or replicate something. Just don't forget that personal growth should be observed as well. Some people have a natural instinct which allows them to excel faster. These things can be learned. You need to apply yourself in order to improve. Some people can just pick up an instrument and play. Others cannot, and need to work in order to play it. This same principle applies with art. Anyone can become a great artist. It may take a LOT of work, but it can be done. Don't just focus on the present when you see your work. Instead of saying, "I'll never be that good," critique your work. See what you can do to improve it. Draw all the time and enjoy doing it. Keep some variety in your sketchbook. Draw gestures, still life, cartoons, paint, sculpt. Focus on drawing! Drawing in a traditional format will help you with every other aspect if art. If you can create something with a pencil then you can do it with a brush, airbrush, pen, dip pen, etc.
Amazing! I would need way more practice to be like that. We have some amazing artists here. @BashfulBaker @Nano
